The Wine Wall Calendar ... Eight Great Wine Calendars "Invented" in Flein, Germany..

Here it is: the wine calendar, the No. 1 wine calendar produced in the wine-growing community of Flein near Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg, southern Germany. However, this wine calendar has nothing to do with Flein: The photos were not taken in Flein. Prices start at a very affordable rate. It makes a fantastic gift to add to a bottle of wine when visiting good friends or business partners..

You're not looking for entertainment; you want to check out the wine calendars in the shop? Okay, feel free to click here..

So ... wine calendars! Really, wine calendars? What are wine calendars doing on a Bach website featuring Bach gift ideas and music gift ideas?..

Actually ... and yes, indeed. These wine calendars are the famous exceptions to the rule. To the rule that Bach 4 You actually ... yes, actually ... only offers Bach gifts and music gifts ... and not wine calendars. All, and really all of the gifts at Bach 4 You were, at the start of the Bach Mission, actually music gifts. Or, as the Publisher also calls them, “gifts for musicians.” Just not ... the wine calendars ... and in the meantime, a few more offerings..

You can find the European calendar style (... poster calendar) in the “Bach 4 You” shop and the US calendar style (... booklet calendar) at “Zazzle”... would you like to learn more?..

This wine calendar comes from Flein, south of Heilbronn in southern Germany. But ... the affordable wine calendar itself ... has no connection to this wine-growing community..

A Little Entertainment Around the Wine Wall Calendar from Flein, Southern Germany..

How did this whole wine calendar thing “actually” start? In Heilbronn, the city right next to the wine-growing community of Flein, one of Germany’s leading wine magazines – an online publication packed with fascinating and informative content on all things related to wine – is produced. This wine portal is managed just a nine-minute drive away, door-to-door, from the Renate Bach Publishing House Bach 4 You. That’s where the editorial office is located. And there are two people there who know both of us well: the portal’s managing director, her husband ... and... well, the two of us Bachs..

It was there, during their first get-together to have coffee and cake – which was actually a completely private meeting – that we realized we could offer something special together. Something the market hadn’t seen before. And that turned out to be the personalized version of the wine calendar..

Sure, why not ... why not stop by and take a look? There’s plenty of interesting stuff about wine, as well as some new content ... and ... some fun stuff, too. However, it's in German, only. But then ... please do come back: © Silvia Schelle..

There Are Three Options of Wine Calendars..

Option 1: The affordable wine calendar, available in three sizes: small, medium and large. We print it in small runs, which is why it’s the affordable. For us and for you. We do this every year..

The personalized wine calendar. We can personalize all eight wine calendars. On the cover page. Additionally, upon request, on the twelve monthly pages and on the back cover as well. Available starting with a single copy. Of course, the more you order, the lower the price will be. Please contact the Publisher for more information..

This is what a personalized version looks like. And the Publisher can do this for each of the eight wine calendars. In close consultation with you. After all, we professionals have been doing this for decades..

Seven additional wine calendars are so-called print-on-demand calendars: They are printed only after you place your order. Above is an offer exclusively for beverage professionals: If you already think the idea of personalization is cool, then there’s something extra special waiting for the pros: namely, premium personalization..

Our Wine Calendars: Three Sizes, Affordable and Print-on-Demand..

First, we distinguish not only between the three sizes – that is small, medium and large – but the Publisher also offers affordable and print-on-demand calendars. The affordable wine calendar is the one for which the Publisher has a small print run produced. And then passes on a discount to you, the buyer. A print-on-demand calendar is one where the Publisher has just that one copy printed specifically for you. That is, when you order it. And of course – unfortunately, with just one copy – there is no volume discount..

The wine calendar “Wine ... Impressions” later became the first personalized wine calendar. Today, you can order any of the eight wine calendars personalized. The eighth wine calendar is something special. And intended only for professionals. We’ll introduce it in more detail later..

At “Zazzle,” you'll find not only wine calendars in brochure format, that is with a huge grid (... yes, even the wine calendars), but also many other products from the “Bach 4 You” Publishing House. The Renate Bach Publishing House specializes in Bach T-shirts and Bach Seal T-shirts ... learn more here..

More Wine Wall Calendars? So, a Wine Postage Stamps Calendar, Maybe?..

Peter Bach, Jr. – as he still calls himself today in memory of his father, Peter Bach, Sr. – is my husband, and he loves to exaggerate. One music calendar? Ten music calendars? Not with him. It had to be 60 right away. And so the idea of offering just one wine calendar was almost unbearable for him. Well ... that’s a bit of an exaggeration. But he definitely wanted more than one. And so began a rollercoaster ride that even made it necessary to delete this entire website –which had already been 100 percent complete –and rewrite it from scratch..

Peter wanted to “craft” ten wine calendars, or better yet, twelve wine calendars. And to match the music calendar “section,” he also wanted to put together one – at least one – wine calendar featuring wine stamps. And a wine calendar, or better yet several, featuring old prints on the theme of wine..

A first find, and not bad for a start. But there should be even cooler and more amazing wine-themed stamps out there to put together a wine stamp calendar..

And so you search and you search ... exactly where you have already found what you were looking regarding composer stamps and Bach stamps. And finds ... now ... nothing that really inspires you..

That's very nice, too. But spectacular? Not really. And all that searching and searching leads to a realization: There are nowhere near as many wine stamps as there are stamps featuring Classical Composers..

One last great postage stamp sheet, and my husband is disappointed to realize: There’ll probably never be a cool wine calendar with wine stamps..

It seemed as though we might have been able to get by with just one wine calendar after all. But then there was also the topic of “historical prints.” The selection here was better, but … not exactly impressive. Just as with the music calendars, it looked like there wouldn’t be anything on the topic of wine either. So the following images brought yet another disappointment for my husband..

Cute, but not cute enough for a wine wall calendar?..

That’s already better, but for a long time there weren’t enough of these prints. To “select” twelve cool designs for a wine calendar, you really need at least 50 very good designs..

Kitsch or not kitsch ... that’s a wonderful topic for dispute. But it’s certainly historical, because cards like these no longer exist today. To publish or not to publish ... that was the question, after all..

Hm ... why not?! The question isn't answered quickly in the beginning. To the shop..

It wasn’t really original enough, and, far worse, there simply weren’t enough attractive printed items, such as postcards: There just weren’t enough designs to choose from. Just as it had happened with the wine stamp calendar not long before, the Publisher had to abandon the “historical wine calendar” as a cute but unrealistic idea...

But our creative team isn’t just made up of a writer and a publisher; it also includes two ambitious artists, one of whom – or rather, the one – brings a great deal of perseverance and patience to the table. And so we managed to find plenty of great wine images from the past for two different themes..

The conclusion, many weeks after creating the first wine calendar and then the personalized calendar: We had found so much material that we decided to design more wine calendars. On top of that, we had amassed a huge collection of cool photos related to wine, specifically wine glasses, wine bottles, and vineyard landscapes..

Finally – as residents of Flein, the wine-growing community – there was just one question left to consider. Did we want to put together a wine calendar about Flein, our local community? Or should we skip it, because, first of all, there’s already a great photo calendar about Flein (... click here to view it and read the story behind this work of art) and because the likelihood of selling even one, with 7,000 residents in Flein, isn’t “really huge.” After all, it’s really only for people from Flein. And for Fleinama. The latter are those who were born while their parents lived in Flein..

Well, not every activity – not even those in a calendar publishing house – has to be reasonable. And so the Publishing House management and the author (… that is, Peter and I) put together the Wein & Flein calendar, initially in an international version as well, and a second one for residents of the region. One of these is no longer available today ... after a certain period of euphoria. And now that the Flein wine landmarks have been photographed and subsequently cleaned of graffiti, it is available – only in its first year of publication, 2019 – in moderate size, as a one-time affordable calendar. It will be available in all three sizes, but then print-on-demand from the next year on..

A wine calendar video? No, not this super-short clip. It provides information about the wine-growing community of Flein through text, music, film, and images. A wine calendar video ... will be coming soon ... but not on this page. It’ll be on YouTube..

“Wine & Flein” or “Flein & Wine”? As residents of Flein, we should really have preferred “Flein” first. But when it came to choosing a name for our wine calendars, we ultimately decided on “Wine & Flein.”..

Of course ... first, you should know this: Queen Elizabeth II was served Fleiner wine at a banquet during her state visit to Germany in 1965..

This research was a bit more challenging. But with the help of the renowned Armbruster Wine and Beverage Store on Heilbronner Straße in Flein, we were able to obtain the certificate directly and, indirectly, even a photo of the Baden-Württemberg Wine Queen, who was from Flein in 1951..

The noblest of all wine wall calendars, "Black & Wine", in portrait format..

And here it is, matching the chapter above: the vintage wine calendar. Twelve similar, charming vintage-style designs are displayed against a vineyard wall and “embellished” with a photo of a wine leaf..

Since there are so many images of wine landscapes in the image archive, we simply couldn't offer just one wine calendar on the topic of “wine landscapes,” so this is Volume 1 on the subject..

Please don't confuse the two wine landscape calendars. The pictures are equally cool, but ... they're just different. And if you can't decide which of these wine calendars you'd like for the coming year, why not order “either one” and get the other one next year?..

Music calendars are the main focus at the Renate Bach Publishing House. You can choose from over 60 titles. No other publisher offers such a wide selection of Bach calendars and composers calendars..

Twelve gorgeous photos of wine barrels and wine cellars come together to create a spectacular and “completely different” wine calendar. It is the youngest wine calendar in the series of eight..

This wine calendar, titled “Thank You!”, is the “Ferrari” of our wine calendars. It’s our premium personalized option. You certainly won’t be able to order this one “by mistake,” because the Publisher will need to ask you a few questions about it. Be sure to check out the twelve premium personalized monthly pages..

Wine Wall Calendars in the Renate Bach Publishing House Come in Two Styles: European Style and 50:50 Style..

Long, long after the Publishing House had released its first music calendar, a conversation arose about long-term plans. Namely, with our American relatives. They asked, why would anyone still want to hang a calendar in their home? Especially since electronic gadgets have “almost completely replaced” the calendar today. At first, the question seemed strange, but it quickly became clear that Dwight and Michele Dwight is Peter’s cousin weren’t even familiar with the high-quality poster calendars like the ones hanging in our homes and apartments here in Germany. They only had in mind the wall calendars that are common in the U.S..

Above it is great but below it is horrible? No, really not, but for decoration purposes it actually only fits into the kitchen. Click here to view this offer via “Zazzle”..

With this knowledge, Peter went on a “scouting trip” to a store in a mall that is specially set up for calendars starting in November. The crux of the matter: All calendar covers for every theme are practically identical to the calendars we know in Germany: a full-page, attractive image, the calendar title in words, and the year. And that was exactly why the difference had remained hidden from us for so long..

If you open any of these calendars, you’ll find that while the calendar area doubles in size, the entire calendar is expanded at the bottom by a rather ugly, large grid where you can now write down your appointments and reminders. The Publisher estimates that 99 percent of such calendars in the U.S. are designed in this style..

So “almost all Americans” are completely unfamiliar with our style of calendars. Consequently, there are probably no wine calendars in the United States that resemble the style we are used to. © Pixabay..

In order to appeal to the American and international markets of calendar enthusiasts, the Publisher decided to “educate” Americans about our German calendar style. The Publisher finally named it “European Style” or “Poster Style.” We gave the U.S. calendar style the name “50:50” style or “ ... with a huge grid” ... that is, with a grid..

It wasn't until about three to four years after the first calendar went on sale in the U.S. that the option arose to also offer wine and music calendars in a second style. Namely, as brochure calendars, as they are called in Germany. This required a special online offering..

Zazzle is an online platform that offers gifts: cups, beer mugs, baseball caps, baby bibs, vases, and even calendars … 50:50 calendars. What makes it special is that graphic designers, artists, and creatives can submit their own designs. For example, all the designs featured in the Publisher’s wine calendars..

Zazzle offers creatives a sales platform where they can showcase their products. And so Bach 4 You also has a shop there. Important to know: On Zazzle – and on the other three similar platforms as well – you’re “on your own.” You browse, you order, you pay, and then you look forward to your delivery. The Publisher isn’t involved in any of this until ... well, until the deal is completely finalized, at which point there is – of course – a small commission. Click here to go to Zazzle. And all the other shops..

Curiosities About the Subject Wine Calendar and a Solution: Google Wine Wall Calendar Instead of Wine Calendar..

Of course, the creative staff at the Publishing House uses Google too. And of course, it’s exciting to see where our own works are ranked ... that is, how they “rank.” In other words, whether they appear on page 2, 3, or 4. Because where they are determines whether you’ll find them. Which would make us very happy. And it’s striking that when you search for the “keyword wine calendar” on Google, the ads naturally appear first, but then Amazon pops up right after, as is so often the case..

So that’s the first place you’ll look, and you’ll try Offer 1, which, by the way, 25 to 35 percent of all searchers click on. And that brings you to Amazon and its wine calendar offer. And what stands out? At first glance, you won’t find a wine calendar like the one you’re looking for. Instead? Gift boxes containing 24 bottles of wine, from several different sellers..

It is only much later that the selection narrows down to such wine calendars that you hang on the wall. And even in the rankings beyond the top ten, you can still find many of these wine Advent calendars. However, it should be noted that this article was written in October and that this trend might start to fade by mid-December. Weinkalender.net is a website dedicated to this topic. And you might also find what you’re looking for on eBay..

Another interesting phenomenon when searching for a wine calendar online is the existence of websites that list wine-related events but don’t call them “wine festival calendars” or “wine event calendars.” The Stigler Winery is a prime example of this, and you can see what such a wine calendar looks like by clicking the link above. The town of Oberderdingen also offers such a wine calendar, though on its website it calls it a “wine event calendar” or “wine guide.”..

One final image from one of the Publisher’s eight wine calendars will wrap up the “alcohol-themed” section on this page. After all, wine calendars are – and will remain – one of two exceptions to the rule on this website: the March entry in the “Wine Barrels” calendar. And one last time, you can easily visit the shop. The second exception? 50 angels calendars..

Your “very last chance” on this page to quickly browse the five Bach online stores ... you can get there again..
