Bach videos. That's right ... There are thousands, if not tens of thousands, of Bach videos that are not cool, funny, bizarre, curious or weird. Many, many are fantastic: Bach's music naturally plays the leading role in them. Secondly, there are my Bach videos: There are a few of these with comparatively much less performance. They provide information about the important Bach cities and Bach locations, about J.S. Bach and his family: There are 17 of them..
Next, there are my 33 Bach music videos: I have mixed 33 musical works by Bach with 33 photo series. Furthermore, for my website visitors and for those interested in Bach, in other words for you, I have tracked down the very "special" Bach videos and lined them up here. 55 of them. Finally, there are some more Bach videos. Bach videos that the author of this page (... me) has also “made” on his own. On various topics such as the Bachhaus (Bach House) in Eisenach, a little video with Bach on stamps and a short piece about a genealogist, as well as a few others..
Surprise pouches? Baby boomers in Germany know them. In the 1970s, you could buy them in bakeries, kiosks or toy stores. They were inexpensive, colorfully printed and contained little surprises such as toys, collectible pictures, sweets or little gimmicks. They were particularly exciting for children because the contents were unknown, which made them so appealing. This is also how the 55 video offers below are presented. You can't tell from the cover what visitors are being creatively offered. This form of presentation was created for technical reasons, because downloading so many videos when opening the page led to incredibly long loading times. I ask for your understanding ... with a wink ... as almost always..
And once again an exception to the rule. While headlines on all pages are kept in the color “dark gray”, I decided to accompany the “crazy videos” with brightly colorful headlines..
In addition, a serious warning: if you, as a conservative Bach lover, don't really have much tolerance, then you might actually feel sick when “consuming these Bach videos”. At least with some of these "works of art", which I nevertheless regard as small works of art. And: Please don't draw conclusions from one video to the next. The "best" videos really don't ( ! ) come first. So it won't be boring later. So: Have fun with my offer. It is certainly almost all the Bach videos on the subject that exist: Funny, curious, strange, bizarre, cool, funny, great, and weird. And? On this page I also mix German and English ... just the way I like it ... it fits the topic of the page.

A Small Wooden Ball in the Forest in Japan...
Weird, funny and cool Bach videos ... no 1: A small wooden ball in the forest "plays Bach". An exciting idea. We don't want to spoil the surprise here. What's particularly interesting is that if this is really how it was built and how it worked, then “all due respect”! What a lot of work, what an effort. But if it is a hoax, then we also pay our respects. Because then it is without question a "work of art of a different kind". Important: Stay with us until the second minute: That's when it gets exciting.
Fake or fact? No matter ... and cool..
2
Mouse Cool: What You Can Do With Bach
Funny, quirky and exciting Bach videos: number 2. The Mouse family gets a visit from Bach. Made by children for children. Cute. And what do I see in the credits? The project was led by church music director Martina Pohl. It was she who - completely unrelated to this video - found the first Bach seal designed by Johann Sebastian Bach on a church wall next to the organ in her church. It was produced by the kids at Gleichense High School (... with an " e ") in the Bach city of Ohrdruf..
Mouse-cool.
3
Sporty: Young Musicians Jump the Toccata
Classic meets sport. Simply a great idea. The Toccata is perfectly hopped, you have to come up with the idea first ... a truly breathtaking commitment to Bach. For two. A nightmare for parents in the kids' bedroom. Stay tuned until the second minute, that's when things really take off. The funny and weird video no. 3.
Bach, sporty.
4 Many Emojis (Smileys) Perform Bach
Does anything fit together better than emojis and Johann Sebastian Bach? Seriously, that doesn't really work. However, we found this little video and one of Bach's masterpieces in a combination so cute that we simply don't want to keep it from you. Please don't watch it if you're not enthusiastic about almost everything that has anything to do with Bach. And Bach on Bach is simply the right platform for that. Watch the video below. My suggestion no. 4.
How cute.
5
A Bach Work, Blown on Empty Beer Bottles
Funny, weird and exciting Bach videos: My number 5, but there is no ranking.
Bach, blown.
6
A Musical Comedian Presents Bach
Yup, that's something completely different. The right video for the right mood. However ... not for everyone. My offer no. 6.
Bach also works like this.
7
Can You Play the Pipe Organ and the Flute at the Same Time?
Funny, quirky and exciting Bach videos: Can you play the pipe organ and make music on a flute at the same time? It's been proven: You can. The number 7.
When the musician is not working to capacity.
8
A “Dwarf” in China Plays Bach
Early practice makes perfect. That was true for Bach and 270 years later it was also true for the young pianist in the video. Does he actually play Bach? And if not? Then the video remains listed here anyway, because the young man's playing is really, really incredible. My video no. 8. It continues below the ad.
Child, artist or both?

Trailer for a Bach Cartoon Film
Funny, weird and exciting Bach videos: No, this video is not weird. Funny enough to make you smile? Yes. Made exciting? Also. Unfortunately, it never became anything more than this really cool trailer. The film project could not be financed at the time. My video no. 9 for you. However, there is now another such mega-cool work, a comic film. Scroll down after watching this clip. Be sure to watch part 1.
Unfortunately only the trailer.

A Very Special Bach Animated Film
Indeed, Peter Fielding and I have known each other since the first episode of his masterpiece. And he has created what I wished for many years for people who would like to get to know Bach in this form. It's simply fantastic how he, all alone at the beginning, has brought so many areas together into an exciting whole. Above all, it's the combination of his cartoon characters with the historical motifs, which he didn't also draw, but combines them with his skills with the original. The choice of music is great and at the beginning of 2024 I'm looking forward to many more episodes, which are being completed at astonishingly short intervals. So this Bach video ... that is, at the time of writing this page, there are already 20 episodes ... is not a quirky or funny video. It is simply ... a total work of art. Super ... Peter! Thank you! My video no. 10.
A masterpiece.
11
The Muppets Surprise with Bach
This Bach video really isn't for everyone. Again, it's specifically only for people who love both the Muppets and the work of Johann Sebastian Bach. If you think you might be such a person, then you might get a lot of enjoyment out of this Bach video we found for you. Among the weird, funny and great Bach videos, it's my #11.
Bach and the Muppets?
12
The Boomwhackers ... Prélude Nr. 1
I didn't even know what a boomwhacker is, and I couldn't find a German word for it either. The fact that they are musical instruments from the group of percussion idiophones is ”Spanish Villages" for me. As always, Wiki takes you a step further. If you want to know more about what these instruments are ... then let's visit Wikipedia. My find no. 12.
What are boomwhackers?
13
Bach on the Glass Harp 1
There's really nothing to comment on. Just listen, watch and be amazed. And don't forget to enjoy it. A great idea, a great piece of work. My video 13.
Try it out for yourself?
14
Air a Cappella Multitrack
In four fields to a dreamlike sounding music collage. Once again, one of my more quirky Bach videos. The number? Number 15, a great achievement.
Nice!
15
Seven More Cellos: The Piano Guys (1)
That's right, you can make good things even better with an exciting production. Gounod already proved this with his composition of Ave Maria feat. Bach's work. Enjoy the performance. It's my Bach video no. 15 for you. And yes ... I fell for it too: It's actually the Piano Guys playing the cello.
That's cello-heavy.
16
Bach & The Swingle Singer Style
Yes, it does sound vintage. But why not? Who still knows them: the Swingle Singers? They used to make music like this when I was little. That is quite a while ago. Does that make it a weird Bach video? Well, actually ... not. Well, maybe visually ... the gentlemen, I mean. Now and then.
More Bach vintage is almost impossible.
17
Trap Bach
At first it is not clear what is supposed to be weird or funny. But after about half a minute it becomes obvious. And colorful too. Bach video no. 17.
First black and white, then cool.
18
Flashmob en France: Oratorio Noël
That's how I like musical flash mobs best: when the tension builds up and more and more people become aware of the performance. Even if there is only one musician singing or playing at first. Then more and more artists join in. That's what got me so excited at the beginning of my collection of cool, funny and quirky Bach videos. There was a flash mob in an airport, where this presentation was intensified as described above. Unfortunately, I can no longer find this clip ... despite an almost professional search on Google. So this following video is now my Bach video no. 18.
Really cool.
19
Toccata Jay-Z & Rihanna Style
"Jay-Z feat. Rihanna & Kayne West vs. Johann Sebastian Bach - Run This". Yes, we both agree, my wife and I: This version of Bach's art is not for everyone. Some of you will just shake your head. Others will find it simply awful. Some may even hate it. But for the younger generation and for those who are open to a combination of Classical Music and today's sound, it's really something very special. We like both kinds of music and I can tell you that the first time I heard this work of art, I actually got goosebumps. The 19. Finally, yes, you're right ... more effort could have been made with the video.
Are you still young? Then please watch.
20
The Badinerie Comic
Finally, finally ... it's another "weird" Bach video. At first I was only looking for weird ones, but then I came across funny and exciting Bach videos for this page of my website. So "weird Bach videos" became ... well, you know. Where are we with the consecutive numbering? It's number 20.
Nothing for conservative Bach fans.
21
Baroque Meets Rock: The Piano Guys (2)
Now what is Bach about that? Nothing, I'm afraid. But at least the title? That's right. I found this work during my search for weird Bach videos. And I was impressed. Because of the proximity to Classical Music, the baroque touch of the work, the nice costuming and ultimately also because of the song itself, I didn't have the heart to "release" it back into the depths of YouTube.
It's well worth a look.
22
Toccata on the Glass Harp (2)
Glass harp ... we already had a variant.
23
Bach GPT
I think it's super cool. The following video. And it definitely reflects the great innovation from 2023. Since this year, AI or in Germany KI has been on everyone's lips. After just two minutes, it gets more and more exciting. Plus? Despite all the jokes and loose wording, the AI instructions are highly exciting. My find no. 23.
Interested in AI? Here you go.
24
Bach by AI
A little excursion for you into “my world”. Originally, this was once the most unspectacular Bach video of all 55. I somehow didn't know whether I wanted to leave it there. Or remove it. But deleting it was not possible for me (... sure, it would have been), because I think the number 55 is "actually too cool" for the results I found. 54 would have been uncool. Right, "that's what makes me tick". After finding all 55 Bach jewels, I listened to and looked at them again. So that I could write the texts for all the videos.
Oh yes, there was one more option ... to look for another, better one. That's what I did. With really dozens of keyword combinations. But at some point it just ends. You can google as much as you like. But inspired by video 54 of all things, the last one, I tried one more "run". With the keywords "Johann Sebastian Bach and AI". And this video made me laugh at the keyword results in position 2. A direct hit ... in my opinion. The new Bach video no. 24, so of course I'll continued. You know by now why one of them doesn't get a number and isn't allowed in the list. But you can find a link here. So don't miss this weird video. This video is also cool and worth watching ... in keeping with the theme of this page. LOL.
Extremely exciting.
25
Four “Identical Twins” Play Bach
The idea is cool. The result is not necessarily spectacular. But definitely worth seeing. But with my 55 quirky Bach videos, it's like sitting in a bus: Not all passengers can sit in the front. My video no. 25 for you.
A click that's worth it.
26
Crazy Bach (Bach from the Dead)
Yes, that's something out of the ordinary. You have to come up with an idea like that first. Worth seeing and I wish you ... have fun!
What you can do with Bach!
27
Cool Flashmob in Asunción
A cool flash mob video must also include the reaction of the audience. This clip does just that. Watching recommended. My Bach video no. 27 for you.
Another flash mob.
28
Top Bach Flash Mob in Lausanne
If you loved the last little movie, you'll love this one too. The audience's surprise is even better documented here. After two and a half minutes, the goosebump feeling begins. Funny Bach videos, the current number 28.
A third flash mob.
29
Jon Santo Plays Bach
Nothing to watch. This means you can save yourself the trouble of clicking here if you are expecting a video. But the music on offer is worth keeping this clip in this collection. So have fun listening. Not while watching. My offer no. 29.
How cool.
30
Bach Invention No. 4
A lot of work went into it. I can't judge the music, but I ( ! ) like the performance. And the craftsmanship? Great. The video is definitely worth watching. My Bach video no. 30.
Recorder, squeak-free.
31
The Boomwhackers ein weiteres Mal
It's not the most spectacular of my beautiful, funny, quirky and weird Bach videos, but the idea is cool. And the production is very well done. It's definitely up there with the 55 best videos of its kind when the first minute is up.
Boomhackers for the third time.
32
The Life of Bach Told by Memes
That ... I didn't come up with this:
"Memes are cultural elements, such as ideas, behaviors or styles, that spread quickly from person to person within a culture. In the context of the internet and social media, the term “meme” is often associated with images, videos or texts that are humorous and spread quickly online. These digital memes usually convey a message, an idea or a cultural reference in a creative and often humorous way. Internet memes can take various forms, including image macros (images with text), GIFs, videos and more. They often rely on humor, recognizability or shared cultural references to resonate with a wide audience. Memes can evolve and change over time as they are shared and modified by users. This contributes to the dynamic and ever-changing nature of internet culture." (Quote)
Memes ... I didn't know them yet.
33
How Do You (Not) Write a Fugue?
You can only include a video like this in a list if “weird” productions are actually announced. It's exciting in any case. My Bach video no. 33.
Not suitable as teaching material. Or maybe it is?!
34
Bach's Prelude in C Major ... The EDM Remix
Bach's work takes a leap into the present day. I wonder if the master would have liked it? I think ... yes, he would have.
Bach goes electronic.
35
Bach - Toccata und Fuge Remix (Techno)
For those of my visitors who love techno and Bach at the same time, this interpretation of the Toccata will be a “musical feast”. A little more video would have been nice. But this way you can concentrate fully on the musical performance.
Bach goes Techno.
36
Tapdance Meets Bach
Well, that's what the world has been waiting for: Bach and tap dancing. All neatly costumed. That's a joy. Enjoy it and then go on. My Bach video no. 36.
Can you tap dance Bach? Of course, you can.
37
Der Harvard University Chor
This is again unique, has style and is also a masterpiece of programming. You don't need to watch the full 30 minutes if you're already eagerly awaiting the next truly bizarre, quirky video. The performance of the ladies and gentlemen of the Harvard University Choir remains at a very high level, but it doesn't get any more unique than this.
So that's what they do at the famous university.
38
Bach Approaches K-Pop
Tadaaaaa ... once upon a time, this was actually one of the most outrageous clips. The two young Australians only deliver such weird offers. But there are even weirder offers to come. Even more quirky offers. Unfortunately, this offer is now "private" and I had to replace it with another one that is not quite as original. But still great. My Bach video no. 38. Now, that I changed the technical entrance, I realize, I have lost the source. If anyone finds the clip again, please let me know.
It's a must see.
39
Lord, Our Ruler: 11 Times One Artist
You know the style to watch by now: The musical performance is great. Please take advantage of this offer of conservative performance. Because the next clip takes off.
You can do it all on your own.
40
Bach vs. Händel: Das Schrägste von allen
How does someone come up with such an idea? Well, among eight billion individuals on this earth, it can just happen. I watch the clip and imagine the names of the great Bach connoisseurs and Bach experts in the Bach Archive and the New Bach Society. And I enjoy it. My “ nastiest” offering, Bach video number 41.
Short ... but only for very strong nerves.
41
What if You Play Bach Backwards?
42
Flashmob in Utrecht
Right, another flash mob. Have fun!
Another flash mob.
43
Deconstructing Johann
Weird, but great, cool musical performance. Definitely worth seeing. How good that there is a website that gives such a performance the presentation it deserves. That's why I "invented" the site: beautiful, bizarre, terrible, weird, wonderful, great, strange and hilarious Bach videos. Here comes the forty-third.
The King Singers ... unbedingt ansehen.
44
Bach on TikTok by The Pitchfork
If you speak a little German, my German comment makes sense. However, you can't translate all this in English: "Yup, mein Titel „funktioniert“ in unseren Zeiten, als das Genitiv-S immer seltener gehört wird. Heute heißt es „ ... rechts des Rhein ... “, etwas stand in „... Die Welt ...“ und bald wird man auch an den Ufern des „ ... Bodensee ... “ hören. Da ist „ ... von Die Mistgabel ... “ nicht so weit entfernt, wenn der YouTube-Kanal so heißt."
Have fun!
45
Funkiest Toccata Ever
The action starts from the 40th second. We ask ourselves: What would Bach have meant about this? We probably won't find out. Not until time machines are invented in the distant future. Listen in.
Bach funky.
46
Anke Chen Age 5 Plays J.S. Bach
My “ admission criteria” in this, my list, if the pure performance of amateurs and professionals is even that good? If the child is too young and the music-making is therefore not world-class, then I would not include the video here in my collection. If the ability is “out of this world”, but the child is already out of kindergarten age, then the same criteria apply. Then it is simply a musical prodigy. In the case of Anke Chen, however, it is precisely the fine line in between that prompted me to offer her participation on my website. That's why there are not only weird and strange videos, but also beautiful and sophisticated ones.
Child and expert.
47
Badinerie ... Techno Version
Because I - personally - already liked the first techno version above, there is now a second work by Bach in this musical style.
Cool ... just cool.
48
The Evolution of Bach's Music
A really interesting video: Just stay with it for a few minutes. It won't turn out to be spectacular, but the idea of projecting Bach's style onto the master's age is also quite something.
Bach composed in an age-appropriate manner.
49
The Bach Biography for Kids
What can you say? Bach's life presented in four funny minutes. It's finally proven: Walt Disney "copied" from the Bavarian Kini. Worth seeing, especially for kids. But also for Bach fans.
Another Bach for children ... next to my offer?
50
Classical Music With Comedian Liberg (2)
This musician is already a guest further up in this list of mine, and so we know that his presentation is worth seeing. For a hearty laugh or a little smile.
Just ... funny.
51
A Short History of Bach for Kids (2)
What a likeable presentation. Perfect for future Bach lovers. If you show your children or grandchildren all the Bach short biographies on this page and the serious ones on my website, these kids are sure to become Bach biography specialists. There may not be the perfect age for all the biography videos on this page, as one is aimed at the very young, others - like this one - are better suited to slightly older children. This video is one of the nice ones.
And again ... Bach for children.
52
Bach will Always Love Us
We showed this video to our Facebook friends and only “harvested” four devastating comments. Of course, Bach on Bach is also aimed at serious Bach lovers. Even if I am the “funny maker” (... not a todays comedian) in the musical family, and don't always approach Bach topics with the reverence they deserve. But this is the place where such a video is really allowed. This is one of the top posts when it comes to weird, bizarre and strange Bach videos.
Conservative Bach connoisseurs: Please do not click.
53
Lady Gaga “does Bach”
What do Lady Gaga and Johann Sebastian Bach have in common? Perhaps the tiny part of a musical work that can be associated with both. I think Lady Gaga and Bach are two as different greats in music as it gets. My feeling is, and this is important for all kids and teens too: You can like both. And that applies to every kind of music today and to every music fan: pop, rock, country (... certainly less so here in Germany), but pop or folk music. Or whatever. You can really like two styles. Or several. For all those who don't even know Lady Gaga, the name of the “lady” is her philosophy. If you have the time, listen to her once. Maybe listen to the first minute twice, or even better, three times. Henrike Rucker gets to the heart of the matter, namely that Lady Gaga used the fugue in B minor from Bach's “Well-Tempered Clavier” Part 1 in the video version of her hit “Bad Romance”. In this song, the fugue is played with an extremely technical synthesizer sound both at the beginning and at the end of her track.
Exciting only in the video version, exciting only the first few seconds.
54
Even Birds "Can Bach"
There is always attrition. I regularly check my list to make sure that all the links and videos are still working. Unfortunately, after two or three years, one or two elements are lost. Then the search starts all over again. But: You also find new "Bach video jewels". And the 54th "weird" Bach video is one such gem. Funny birds of all colors and sizes chirp Bach in Australia.
Australia, birds, Bach.
55
Bach and AI ... The Reconciliation: Now Also for Very Conservative Bach Enthusiasts
That doesn't even work. AI, Bach and that for Bach fans who are actually really turned off by many of my videos, don't like them, find most of the clips awful? Yes, that's how it is. However: Not a single one of these Bach lovers will watch this video, because he or she has already abandoned the experience much earlier and much further up.
Indeed, AI, which even very conservative Bach lovers can enjoy.
