Music Gifts for Big Musicians and Music Gifts for Little Musicians..

By Renate Bach

Gifts for Musicians or gift ideas for musicians. How on earth did people used to find cool gifts for musicians or gift ideas for musicians at all? In a world without the internet? Wasn’t that really a challenge back in the “good old days”?..

By now you’re familiar with it, since the layout is the same throughout this website: Without any “technical hurdles,” you’re also taken straight to the shop. The selection there: 60 music calendars, pipe organ calendars, composers calendars, and Bach calendars ... is truly one-of-a-kind..

Actually ... you wanted to get directly to the Publishing House shop? That is possible of course. With just one click here..

Visit one of the five online music gift shops ... learn more here..

Topic: Gifts for Musicians. The gift shop run by the Publishing House invites you to a truly exciting visit. Just as exciting as this website about the Thomas Cantor. It’s supposed to be a great and cool “Bach Playground” as well. And it’s also a paradise for finding gifts for musicians or just gifts for music fans. The image above shows one of the 20 composers calendars, another musician gift available at a truly fair price..

Gifts for Musicians, Gifts for Musicians: That’s the motto of my Renate Bach Publishing House. And actually, this page on the website was supposed to be called that at first. But two weeks later, I decided I didn’t like that headline after all. So now the page is named as you see it above ... In any case, my small Publishing House looks forward to serving many of your friends, acquaintances, family members, colleagues, club mates, or neighbors who are musicians or music fans of all ages. You can find all gifts for musicians at a glance via the link. By the way, you can expect exceptional quality, reliability, and really fast processing. Because when it comes to the printing business, we know what we’re doing. By the way, there’s more to discover on the Publishing House’s website than “just” gifts for musicians..

Children's music calendars are some gifts for musicians for the youngest and future music fans. Future Bach fans and future Beethoven fans, so to speak. They "match", for example, the perfect gift for a child's first piano, violin, or flute lesson..

Gifts and More Gifts ... For Entertainment and “Right to the Point”..

In fact, you now have – once again – the choice. Maybe even the agony of choice. Do you want to discover gifts, just gifts, and nothing but gifts? More specifically, gifts for musicians? And right away? Meaning, right now? Then you’re in the right place, but now you’ll need to head over to the shop. So to speak. There you’ll find the gifts ... specifically, the musician gifts. And above all, you’ll always find the right selection of options: You already know there’s not just one music calendar to be found. There are many. Plus, there are gifts that “hit the mark.” You can head over there with just one click..

However, if you keep reading, you’ll learn more about the individual gift projects. And the gift ideas themselves. This includes either the story behind each gift or simply more background information. For example, why it took so many artists before Johann Sebastian Bach was finally available as an exclusive flat tin figure. Or what Peter Bach, Sr. has to do with it. On this page here, there’s just ... Entertainment. If you’re not interested, or you’re short on time, or you’re already running a bit late ... then off you go to the shop. One click here is all it takes: You know the routine..

Without a doubt the most exciting offer and, as such, the Publisher’s most unusual gift for musicians: 142 CDs featuring the music of our master composer. It is the complete works of Bach. In addition, you’ll receive PDF files of 16,800 sheet music pages from his works, plus five free add-on items. Would you like to learn more? Then please click here..

Gifts for Musicians and More Gifts for Musicians: My World of Bach Books for You..

Then there’s the Bach Coloring Book, even though it’s not really a proper book. Next, the Renate Bach Publishing House is offering two excellent, though used, books. However, they’re only available in German. These are Klaus Eidam’s biography, The True Life of Johann Sebastian Bach, and probably the most famous biography of the master, “The Little Chronicle of Anna Magdalena Bach”, which isn’t actually a biography. Finally, there are a few copies left of Helga Brück’s book on the genealogy of the Bach family: From the Apfelstädt and the Gera to the Missouri. A small, amusing brochure for adults rounds out the selection of books published by Bach 4 You: “Classical Music for Children.” It's also only available in German. Once again, a note with a smile: Despite the title, this is not intended for kids. Not entirely serious, but still a hit: Two historical biographies about Bach by the first Bach biographer, Johann Nikolaus Forkel, make excellent small gifts. They are the smallest books on the subject of Bach and are not meant to be read, but rather as decorations or as small gifts..

The Renate Bach Publishing House "Bach 4 You" is the specialist, when it comes to Bach busts, Bach statues, Bach tin figures, and little Bach men from the Ore Mountains in Germany. You get to all these Bach treasures with a click here..

It’s a full 172 pages: the Bach Biography featuring Vitus and Balthasar. It’s perfect for reading aloud, great for reading on your own, and with plenty of illustrations, it’s also exciting to explore. Want to take a “peek inside”? Of course. You can find a preview here. © Pixabay..

Above is the table of contents. Less is more: That’s why the story – that is, the book – doesn’t include too many names in Bach’s life. His music is mentioned only in passing. And the whole thing is more of an adventure than any other biography about the super composer. Just right, that is, biographically accurate ... that’s what it is: the Bach Biography for Children. Want to read more and see more? Please, go ahead. © Pixabay © Petra Kaune..

... ein wenig mehr zum Lesen (... oben ist der Text als Lektüre eine echte Herausforderung. Weil er nicht wirklich scharf darstellbar ist. Lesen kann man ihn aber besser im Shop von „Bach 4 You“). Hier kommen Sie direkt hin© Pixabay..

Finally, here’s another double-page spread featuring one of Petra-Ines Kaune’s adorable illustrations. You can find more “peeks inside the book” on the corresponding page in the shop. Just click the link above. Then select one of the options, scroll down ... and voilà, there are the sample chapters. © Petra Kaune..

Johann Sebastian Very Convenient: The Biography Audiobook in Three Versions..

Unten 3 EN-Pendents einfügen.

It works perfectly well without Bach’s music: Nothing “disturbs” or interrupts the enjoyment of the composer’s life story ...

..

... Alternatively, listen to the collection of 19 pieces of music by Bach. Between the sections. They are all well-known melodies. But none lasts longer than three minutes ... ..

... or you can turn it into an exciting experience. Thirty-three melodies accompany or interrupt the story of Bach’s life 66 times. This transforms an audiobook into true entertainment. Again, no track is longer than three minutes..

The complete biography – whether in its “pure” form lasting four hours or with “maximum musical accompaniment” lasting eight hours – is narrated by a dedicated professional. You may have heard him on TV or radio before. Why not give it a listen? You’re sure to enjoy it. Click here to get directly to the audio options..

A Top Gift Starting at Age 3: The Bach Coloring Book for Future Classic Music Fans..

One more idea of Peter Bach, Jr.: The Bach Coloring Book. © Info..

No, it’s not suitable for every little one aged 3 and up. But at that age, it could already be a good start. For the coming “Picassos” among your children. And for the future “Warhols” and “Salvador Dalís.” In other words, for the truly gifted little ones. Everyone else “simply grows into this coloring book” instead. So to speak. This Bach Coloring Book doesn’t feature a single note of that strange music by that strange gentleman with the funny wig on his head. But you could “mix in” the music for free..

Why not try this: Buy the coloring book, show it to your youngest child, and casually mention that, of course, they can only color in such a beautiful book once they’ve gotten really good at drawing other pictures. After all, anything that isn’t allowed yet is – and always will be – simply incredibly exciting. Johann Sebastian Bach – after becoming an orphan at the age of ten – was also not allowed to copy a music book containing compositions by famous composers of the time in his eldest brother’s house. What he then came up with to do it anyway ... well, you can read about that somewhere else entirely..

The coloring book as a gift: It features 24 drawings with 24 coloring suggestions and 24 highlights from Johann Sebastian Bach’s life. We never would have thought of this idea during our Johann Sebastian Bach Mission, to even offer it as a first “English lesson.” Because while it is bilingual, that’s only for one reason: so we don’t have to print two separate editions to offer it worldwide. Without this little Bach Coloring Book costing a fortune..

By the way, you can view all the pages of the coloring book here. Each drawing is more beautiful than the last. And one thing this coloring book certainly is: It is the only publication of its kind ever compiled exclusively by the Bach family of musicians. My husband came up with this idea. And he put together the guidelines and the biography. Briana Bach-Hertzog – who is even more closely related to the composer than my husband – then created the drawings. Finally, I laid them out, had them printed, and now offer the Bach Coloring Book in my Bach 4 You Publishing Shop as a gift idea. One exception to the statement in the last sentence: The Bach Biography for children – that is, the “real” book – was also created purely and solely through the musical talent of this family of musicians from Thuringia. Please Support Us: Let's Bring J.S. Bach to the Kindergartens of the World..

Only one person on the entire planet could come up with an idea like this: the author of Bach on Bach. It’s not enough for him to reach just one little person with his Bach Coloring Book. Now it has to be whole hordes of gnomes. The blame lies with his profession, through which he also has explained complex topics to hundreds of school classes over four decades: exciting, entertaining, and engaging. He learned it from his father. His father was already doing something like this back in the 1950s..

So my husband invented the Bach Kindergarten Game. And Bach 4 You is now tasked with spreading it around the world. But we can’t do it without your help..

This is how my husband envisions it: In today’s world – our fast-paced world – there isn’t much of a “window” of opportunity to get kids interested in or even excited about Classical Music. Play the wrong (... Classical) piece at the wrong time, and “it’s all over.” And they’ll head straight for Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift … and why not?!..

The older the children get, the less easily they can be influenced. And the more damage is caused by misguided “attempts to approach” them. No matter on what topic! The approach with our Bach Kindergarten Game is to not deal with Bach’s music at all at first. Not to mention it at all. Not to explicitly offer it. The goal is to get the “youngsters” to start taking an interest on their own in who this Bach actually was..

This is done through a clever combination with a child’s first exposure to Bach’s music. At first, only a select few well-known pieces are offered ... and very, very gradually. In this way, by the end of their teenage years, perhaps as many as four percent of all children – rather than just two percent – might be encouraged to give Bach, Mozart, Liszt, and others a chance..

How does it work in practice? Are you a Classical Music fan? Or do you enjoy Classical Music as well as other genres? And would you like to introduce more people to this genre? Then become a sponsor of a preschool and join our Johann Sebastian Bach Mission. We’re already quite a sizeable team: artists, musicians, genealogists, translators, painters, illustrators, and supporters. Simply purchase a kindergarten game and then donate it to a kindergarten of your choice. And check in a few weeks to see how the project is going. This game is available in German and English..

The Johann Sebastian Bach Kindergarten Game. Whether it will "work"? We really hope so. © Info..

The coloring guide is located on the opposite left-hand page of the Bach Coloring Book, below the mini-biography. That’s why many of the minis can’t be equipped with both the drawing and the coloring guide: by “taking apart” the small booklet. Both wouldn’t fit together 17 times..

You can play it with 24 children, with 34 and with 14 as well. These are coloring suggestions. Just cut it, mix it, distribute it. And start the game. You get to the shop - yes, again - here© Briana Bach-Hertzog +© Renate Bach..

Gifts on Canvas: Bach, Bach, and Again ... Johann Sebastian Bach..

One of the most recent portraits of Bach, which you can order on canvas from the “Bach 4 You” shop. © Peter Bach, Jr..

There are certainly dozens of wonderful motifs related to the theme of Johann Sebastian Bach that you can have beautifully and elegantly immortalized on canvas. As individual pieces. Or as part of a collage featuring several works from a series. These include modern portraits of Bach, as well as those you’re already familiar with. Then there are photos of monuments and images taken by Peter Bach, Jr. in the cities and places associated with Bach. And there are pictures of antiques that make perfect gifts..

There are many – or, to be more precise, countless – portraits of Johann Sebastian Bach today. It wasn’t just unknown artists who painted what Bach might have looked like, specifically between shortly before his death and as a young man in Arnstadt. Of course, there will be more and more in the future. Not just because of our joint Bach Mission. However: Bach never looked like that. In other words, he never looked like he does in all the portraits that exist of him..

With one exception. The painter Elias Gottlob Haußmann, who also lived in Leipzig during Bach’s time: He actually painted him as Bach likely once looked. In 1746. Well, perhaps he “touched him up” a bit … that’s how one might describe it, since painters very often depicted their “victims” a little more favorably and often a little more likably. Than they were back then. But in Haußmann’s case, the “story behind it” makes the difference: Bach joined the “Musicalische Societät” in Leipzig. And one of the “conditions for admission” was the submission of a portrait..

Bach commissioned this work four years before his death. And the result of that commission now exists in two copies in the world. Yes, even back then, copies had already been made. All other portraits of Bach are painted exactly as conceived. Ihle, Rentsch, the so-called “portrait of old age,” and many other paintings by renowned artists turned out exactly as these artists had “quickly imagined” Mr. Bach. How good that we know this. So we’ll just do the same..

Johann Sebastian, just cool. Ihle, Rentsch, and Haußmann on this website ... and these authentic? That’s nothing for our mission. Others do that better. The second tier includes Bauer, Würtenberger, and the like ... but all the other Bach painters of this caliber are really only known to experts. To the Shop..

The Ultimate Gift: Calendars, Calendars, Calendars ... All Around the Subject of Bach..

There are many exciting themes available as calendar options. Just click on the corresponding section at “Bach 4 You.” What makes them special: There are no fewer than eleven affordable music calendars. The Publisher prints these in small quantities and can then pass on the lower printing costs to you. You can order 49 additional music calendars, each of which is printed individually. Just for you. Just for you alone. Want to see all the calendars? You can do so via the navigation in the shop..

Mr. Bach from Tin: A Cool Gift..

A real unique gift: Bach tin figures..

Is there a Peter Bach Sr.? Of course there is. He was my husband’s father and – naturally – also part of the musical family. He collected tin figures. Not just any tin figures. No, he collected tin figures related to two very specific themes. His theme, however, was not Johann Sebastian Bach. As for Bach, there are actually – well, actually – almost no tin figures at all. My father-in-law collected the “History of Beer” and the “History of the Fire Department”..

And can you actually collect those? Of course you can. On the topic of beer brewing, he has amassed a collection of about 150 scenes. These range from the first brewing successes of the Sumerians and Egyptians all the way to the German Purity Law, which celebrated its 500th anniversary in 2016. Incidentally, the German Purity Law for Beer is one of the world’s first food safety laws. Around each group of tin figures, he had landscapes, houses, castles, palaces, or other elements crafted – or he crafted them himself – resulting in entire scenes of tin figures. Each scene is accompanied by a corresponding setting with a brief explanatory text on a small, matching sign..

Of course, these tiny tin figures weren’t blank anymore, that is they weren’t raw anymore. He painted them all beforehand. He used “shadows and lights” so that the exhibits – as they were called – finally looked three-dimensional. Would you like to take a look? Then you can experience him here..

This gift and its painting don't really need any so-called lights and shadows, since the figure is already three-dimensional. Nevertheless, it's clear that it is precisely these shading effects that reveal the artist's great skill and expertise..

Here it becomes clearer: The tin figure is flat and is always positioned parallel to the viewer. The light and shadow created during painting then give it a sense of depth. By the way, if Bach is to be depicted from the side, he must already be engraved that way. After all, every tin figure must be positioned parallel to the viewer, correct? And you’ve figured it out: The top isn’t about brewing beer or putting out fires either. Just a side note: Neither the US quarter, nor the Euro, nor the fruit bowl, nor the kitchen in the background are part of the gift that you can buy after clicking to the Shop..

Bach Postage Stamps: An Adhesive Gift..

This is definitely not a section for passionate stamp collectors, nor for those just starting to collect. These Bach stamps are all works of art, each from a certain size onward. They are meant to be displayed as wall art in your home or at a friend’s house. But only in a beautiful frame. And perhaps with a large, elegant passe-partout..

It took a total of three years to track down every stamp that had even the slightest connection to Johann Sebastian Bach, his work, or his family. Even a few “Cinderellas” were allowed into this small collection. After all, you draw a very subjective line when you start collecting basically anything that sticks. Even if the stamp doesn’t even pretend to be a postage stamp. Or doesn’t even stick. Or if it’s downright ugly. Or if the rip-off of the many motif collectors around the world becomes all too obvious..

When you’re on the hunt for all the stamps related to a particular theme, you’ll eventually come across many – indeed, a great many – sources where you can buy them. Every now and then, you’ll also find particularly beautiful examples of Bach stamps there, which are especially well-suited as wall decorations. Naturally, we take advantage of these opportunities, purchase them, and offer you these high-quality, almost antique-quality items for sale. Feel free to stop by every now and then. But only ... if you’re not a postage stamp collector. And if you don’t want to become one either..

There are already quite a few of these “little Bach adhesives” available. The problem is that almost nowhere can you see just how beautiful – and therefore how decorative – they actually are. Not even on the stamp pages of this website. There is one exception: When “Bach 4 You” offers such a gem, there’s always a size comparison included. Another important point for you if you’re on the hunt for such a gift: Please don’t wait. It can take months before a specific stamp becomes available again. And there may be no stamps at all in the shop for weeks on end..

Almost Antiques: Real Old And Age Old Gifts Around The Subject of Bach..

Almost antiques ... what does that even mean? Well, if you look it up on Wikipedia, an object is considered an antique when it’s around 100 years old ... or at least 50. And if that’s the case, then a postcard from 1970 is ... not quite an antique yet. But ... who really cares about that? Especially if you’re just looking for a great little gift?..

Here’s what I mean when you’re on the hunt for gifts: You can always tell just how big an object really is by looking at the photo. It’s hard to believe, and the only way to illustrate it is by putting them side by side: The small book below is actually even smaller than the book with the quarter and euro coin above. By the way, neither coin is included in the package..

You’ll come across this treasure even more rarely than the little book about Bach shown further above. That means one thing: Please check back in the shop every now and then to see if one is available. And if it is? Then “go ahead and buy the gift right now.” And then save it for a birthday, Valentine’s Day, anniversary, or Christmas ... or for a visit with friends. Of course, these mini Bach booklets are both decorative items. By now, you know where to click, right?..

One Idea = Two Musik Gifts..

We’re absolutely certain: You’ve never enjoyed quotes about the master from Thuringia quite like this before. Featuring Bach’s music, narrated by two professionals and “garnished” with an eight-minute brief short biography about Bach’s life. Would you like to listen to a sample?..

Here’s an idea that’s just as unique as the whole Johann Sebastian Bach Project: the “Bach Medley.” Treat yourself—and a friend—to it. My husband says – he’s the one who drives for the two of us – that you can listen to this Bach Medley far more often than just two or three times: Two professional narrators quote the world’s greatest personalities from music, art, science, and politics who have spoken about Bach’s music. The whole thing is accompanied by Bach’s most popular and well-known works, and to top it all off, there’s also a short biography just nine minutes long. Entertaining, beautiful, exciting, different. By the way: You can save “a whole lot” of money if you listen to the music here. And the quotes ... you don’t have to buy them to get to know them ... You can also read the quotes here. And finally, there is of course the particularly concise Bach short biography, which you can view or listen to on another page of this website. However: That’s nowhere near as much fun as listening to our Bach Medley..

Oh, and one more thing: Save the content and keep it handy in your car. And then send the file to a friend as well. Buy it once, get two gifts ... and give them away. Or three or four? Come on now...  ..

56 Bach Puzzles..

200 ways to offer ten different-sized puzzles based on 200 Bach motifs? Of course ... we’ll do that for you. "Bach 4 You" already has several pre-designed options available. But we’d also be happy to create a custom puzzle based on any motif you discover in our Bach Project. Watch as our selection continues to grow. © Info..

Assemble historically authentic puzzles or modern portraits of the composer from Eisenach. Or assemble puzzles featuring Bach monuments, or Bach cities and locations. Assemble historical postcards or stunning steel engravings. We always offer each design in four sizes. And each one is produced exclusively for you. So you have a truly one-of-a-kind piece. Well, that is, until another Bach fan also chooses “your” design. Then you’re no longer the only one on earth. And your puzzle is no longer one of a kind either..

Here’s what my husband comes up with: his “gift sets.” You could put something like this together for your kids: the coloring book, a calendar, and a puzzle. And if the age is right, you can also add the Bach Biography for Children – by Peter Bach, Jr. – along with a calendar on the same theme. Plus, finally, the corresponding puzzle. What can I say?! Gifts and more gifts. Or even better: Bach gifts and more Bach gifts..

1 Composer = 1 Gift = 142 CDs ... And You Get Six Free Add-Ons with Your Purchase..

Unless Bach sience discovers any more works by Bach, this collection is presumably complete*: the complete Complete Edition of Johann Sebastian Bach. Click here to get directly to the right section of the store..

It’s a risky statement, but there’s no better way to get to know Bach’s music than with this complete collection on 142 CDs. If you’re new to Classical Music, you can start with the compilation of the 33 best-known and most popular pieces from Bach’s life’s work. Here at Bach on Bach..

However, please do not do that – with my 33 Bach pieces –

if your experience with Bach goes back a very long time. So far back that, on a Saturday evening, you find yourself wondering whether you’d rather listen to a particular work performed by Glenn Gould or by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. In that case, this small collection at Bach on Bach is definitely not the right choice..

For the Bach connoisseur described in more detail in the previous section, even the complete Bach Edition might not be quite the right gift. But there are other people out there, too. And for all those who feel that the 33 pieces and works on this website simply aren’t interpreted professionally enough, yet who, on the other hand, don’t have an “absolute ear”: For all of them, this collection is truly a hit. And all at a great price. Only at the Renate Bach Publishing House do you get six free Bach add-ons with your purchase. Does that make it the Bach gift of all Bach gifts?..

* ... time and again, new pieces of music are attributed to Bach. With other compositions, however, experts argue that they were not actually written by the Thomas Cantor. So, in the long run, defining his complete works is somewhat challenging. You know what we mean. Click here to get to the shop again..

There Always Remains a "This + That": Gifts Around Johann Sebastian Bach, As Long As Your Mouse Clicks..

It’s really fascinating to discover all the different things you can do with Johann Sebastian Bach: It can be very elegant, but also truly exciting. And it can be completely trivial. Or totally weird. Some things are cool, while others are pretty “edgy.” The selection of gifts is as diverse as any community of people can be..

So how does it work? And who’s behind it? Who actually sends you your musical gift? Zazzle is the answer, a cool concept. We provide the designs: modern or authentic, a portrait of Bach or a Bach monument. You decide what you’d like to give as a gift: a mug, a baseball cap, a phone case, a keychain, a watch, and so much more. You place your order with Zazzle. Zazzle delivers to your address. You’re happy. We’re happy. And the recipient … is happy too. What a perfect world. Heavenly..

And what else? It's not just on Zazzle that the Renate Bach Publishing House operates another online shop. There are also Bach 4 You offerings on Spreadshirt, Redbubble, and Cafepress. You’ll find many items in all four shops ... but some highlights are available in only two stores or just one. Directly in the Publisher’s Shop, you’ll find Bach items that aren’t tailored to a specific taste or preference: calendars, busts, and the complete works. Plus everything you’ll find there when you scroll down the following page: after clicking here..

There is a total of 60 music calendars. They are all available in three sizes. And you can buy them this year ... and next year, too..

The Cool Claim: You Won't Find Any Other Calendar Publisher on Earth That Offers More Calendars About Composers Like This..

What, nowhere else is there such a selection of composers calendars in this style? That’s right. Not at one calendar publisher. Here and there, you might just find one or two. After a lot of searching, and of course only online. And sure enough: On one or two gift portals, you might even find more than one. But there, practically all of them are split in half, with a huge calendar section at the bottom and the design at the top. So, not everyone’s cup of tea ... certainly not ours, anyway. At “Bach 4 You,” you’ll find them: many traditional ones, but also some cool ones. Namely, exactly 20 great composers calendars. And what does that mean, exactly? That’s where you’ll find musician gifts and more musician gifts..
