My husband, Peter Bach Jr, author of this and other Bach websites, the cute Bach Biography for Children and above all the Bach Coloring Book about the composer (... which is already almost in its third edition), makes videos for a living. Or rather ... something similar. And for that he always needs the perfect narrators. And then he found the many quotes about Bach. What could he “do with them” other than list them for a reading? He was able to inspire four absolute professionals - both German and English - to present this little treat with “a bit of a cultural feeling”. You can listen to the result above. At first, the Bach quotations in a "staccato version", that is, one after another, were too speedy lined up: one quote after the other. That was not only too fast, to "digest it", but also the fun with it has ended in a "slender" 30 minutes. You had also hardly the muse to listen to the individual Bach quotes properly.
