How Everything Began With the Cool "Bach On Bach" Project

One of our youngest treasures: 120 years old and with a nail tip damage in the middle. Johann Sebastian Bach was once pinned to the wall.

3/17/2013 – I Want to Be Frank

Are you here every once in a while? Then these are lines for you. If you are on this page for the first time, then nothing will change. So to speak.

To those who are here and there, or even worse, regularly go by: you have noticed it just does not work. It was so beautiful. And theoretically, it works, but practically not. You know I like to write. And I write a lot. And I love to write a lot. Now, however, this project requires a lot of text. Because there is not only a homepage but the same in English. And there are, or there will be more homepages. I also plan books for that. Several? Yes, several. Bach hardly leaves us.

Now there are two modes: I like to write - or I just do not want to write. And if I want to write, there are 100 topics and construction sites that call for me. So that it continues in the essential areas. If then this desire is there, then I sit before my PC and write and write and write. Until I do not feel like it anymore. And then, of course, I do not want to think of something new for this section "New this week". If I do not want to write, then I have – also logically – no desire to think of a new text for a new weekend.

Then comes another: I have pleasure now and then. Many times - but there are so many other trades in the project next to the letter. But the section "New this week" would like to be "fed" every Saturday or Sunday. The desire to write – and a weekend – meets even more rarely. After all, there is not really anything new to report on this. Because when one of the small new shows is in the making, three weeks can already go into the country – after all, the money for the project has to be earned – with a real job. So it does not necessarily spur to write that there is nothing new – this week. And quite final – you are certainly a little tired of reading my excuses again and again. I think they have been the most frequently "new" in recent weeks. This in turn and much more the disappointment that it is again Saturday or Sunday and no new information is set, generates frustration and disappointment. At least at Carola. And that's justified. I am disappointed, instead, to inspire.

I have tried it - a regular post is seemingly simply not "my thing"! Now we try it differently. First, irregularly. Then over another "technology" over Facebook. If you do not already have an account on Facebook, you can have it set up completely easily with the kids, the grandchildren, a neighbor or a friend. This happened in five minutes and you do not have to do anything else on Facebook, what you could do. Another thing is that Renate, my wife, will now post. At irregular intervals, with pictures, movies and just news, in the next 2 years to the project. And then peu a peu to Bach. That is to say, what new things about Bach is to be reported in the world. Whether a new orchestra is created, whether you can find another Haußmann or a next cantata by the master – you can read it here at "Bach über Bach" via Facebook. We started this and we want to see how this develops. For the circumstance, now only to be able to participate in the news via Facebook, a warm request for excuse – but we are still completely in the trial phase and do not yet know what is working – and what is not.

In this spirit, we hope to be on Facebook. Oh yes and this works – that you get an email as soon as news is to be reported. This works when you click it "like it" – that is to say thumb up: "Like it."

Thanks, soon and sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

7/22/2013 – Sorry, Carola!

Much has happened in the last two weeks - here is my apology: if you had been here last week and would have had to leave without any news. Disappointing. Sorry again. It was an exciting time, even the days before the previous weekend. With very short notice, we met a new relative in the United States of America. We succeeded to change their itinerary for a planned visit to Germany, and with this, we spent three great days together in the land of Dwight Back's ancestors. What a bunch of friendly folks. A visit to the Bachhouse with a very, very exclusive tour and music from the organ of St. Thomas at Leipzig by a Korean student especially for Dwight Bach and finally a meeting with one of the very few great-grandchildren* of Johann Sebastian Bach were as well highlights for Renate and me. Finally, a visit to the Bach city of Weimar and the castle Wartburg at Eisenach made that trip a real "Bach's life experience." Of course, I do know that there are some "greats" missing in front of the grandchildren.

It's my fault that the days before the meeting were hectically as I wanted to finish two little shows, the one about the Bachhouse and the one more about Bach's life, in both English and German. I succeeded in a temporary version. Really ready are these two miniature shows in the oncoming two weeks ... or so.

Of course, that doesn't sound like it's ok or an excuse for not posting last weekend. On the other hand, this was only a fraction of the activity in the background. Many contacts were possible to get started. One of those has to be mentioned here in a unique way. At Eisenach, we met a pro who is willing to help with some of the mistakes on my page. No, not the spelling mistakes, but those related to the life of Bach. A real special thank you to Eisenach. And I got the possibility to take photos of the illuminated Bach House at dusk, which is actually possible only on weekends. A thank you direction Eisenach again.

Worth to tell at the end: we had a really great experience and a heartily welcome at the Bach-Stammhaus at Wechmar.

In November, please expect something great to happen here. Please come back, until November, as often as you can, and please mention this site to more folks as nobody carries a sign, that he loves Bach on his or her clothes. Thank you much.

Best regards

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

6/16/2013 – A Whole Half Week in the Middle of the Land of the Bache

... which is Thuringia in Germany, by the way.

Much has happened in the last two weeks - at this point my apology: Previous weekend here looked ... went you disappointed from then. Sorry for that! It was turbulent, the time before the last weekend. In the short term, we met new relatives from the USA. They were able to change their travel plans to Germany, and so we spent three exciting days in the land of Dwightback's ancestors. A visit of the Bachhaus with very, very exclusive guidance as well as organ music of a Korean student in the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, especially for Dwight Bach finally a meeting with one of the very few great-grandchildren of Johann Sebastian Bach were of course also highlights for Renate and me. Finally, the Bachstadt Weimar and the Wartburg in Eisenach garnished this little trip through the land of Dwight's ancestors. Of course, more of my grandsons belong to the grandchild, I know ...

To this event, however, the road was frantic but self-centered and ambitious. I definitely wanted to complete two mini shows, namely the mini-biography as well as the show about the Bachhaus Eisenach. Logically, in German and English. What was also provisional. However, both presentations will probably not be completed until the next two weeks.

Of course, it does not all sound like it can be an excuse to publish no news for a whole week. But a big "chunk" plays itself more on exciting engagement in the background. Many great contacts managed to start. A special one is mentioned here: a professional who localizes one or the other flaw and thus makes our "Bach über Bach" project even more valuable: I am enthusiastic, it should be pedagogically valuable, the project "Bach over Bach." Also, because I have a better feel as a Bach side starter. Thanks a lot to Eisenach! Also for the opportunity to photograph the Bachhaus in full art-illumination outside the regular time. Thanks again to Eisenach!

Worth mentioning to the end: a top-notch experience in the Bach-Stammhaus in Wechmar, where we were warmly received. In November, by the way, on this homepage, something extraordinary happens, and I would be delighted if you come past before and then especially, but also often before.

Sunny greetings

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

6/1/2013 – The "Facts, Facts, Facts" Page Is almost Ready

The remarkable novelty: I once again, for a change, again managed on time. At the weekend the latest! And now to the essence: the page profile is finished. The idea is (... how in the world show up two terms like Johann Sebastian Bach and the word Steckbrief in one sentence together?) Especially for students and Bach beginners, who like to "enjoy" everything in our present-day, fast-moving time The point." And because this is such an overtaking chapter, and because in this "Bach über Bach Project" so much is entirely different, so I immediately had the idea, on this very same side, a fast food minibiography ( Video one). And as if this were not culturally ambitious enough, a compilation of Johann Sebastian Bach's best-known and most popular works in a 333-second medley (video two). To make sure that our youth does not leave a trace, you can read the titles while listening.

And this weekend happens especially: The English site www.BachOnBach.com is really, right at the start. A sharp corner work – now stands the scaffolding, so for us surfers: The navigation. So it becomes somehow – despite the same 24 hours a day – more and more. Somehow! It would be helpful if at least new ideas within the project now slowly ceased – but this is not the case. Not yet.

In this sense, we would like to have a little less rain together. Slightly more sun. What does that mean? Spring. Right, but he is. In this sense you and us a somewhat warmer first summer week. We will spend some time in Bach Country.

About this soon!

Sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

5/27/2013 – The Bach Necrology = Obituary Is Finally Ready

What did we look for? It can only be found on the Internet for specialists. Or from the one who knows where and how he has to look for it: the necrology to Bach. What you call an obituary today. He is so detailed that he can be the first biography of hundreds to Johann Sebastian Bach. Written in 1750, released to a broad audience but only four years later. In 1754 Bach became increasingly forgotten. For a three-third century, Bach was merely forgotten. Not the musicians – but the public. We found him, the necrologist, and with a good time. From the original. And we will adjust both in the next weeks to the homepage. In the original, for those who want to have more adventures while reading and in the transcript for those who want to read it in a fast 20 minutes. What do you have today? Nix, but you know now, with which we have expelled the past week the time.

After the spring is "unsuccessfully over," we now simply wait together for a beautiful summer. I want to go to Lüneburg and Potsdam: take pictures! In this sense until next weekend.

Sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

5/19/2017 I Know, I Know!

You have not read from me for two weeks. How embarrassing, but at least I-you expect that from now on no different from me an original excuse. So, let's go! It is hard for me to work in my job at the moment. Bach is so much fun, so exciting are the individual trades and so much is new to me. Last week we worked with Ms. Liu. Ms. Liu is from China, supplies German Chinese translations (... and vice versa) in Tauberbischofsheim, and I was able to inspire her to become part of the Bach Dream team. Not only did she perfectly translate Bach's minibiography to me, but she also spoke fantastic. For them was the "new land" - and for us too. It has made it perfect, and I can not wait to paint this version with Bach music, and we already have a treat for 1.3 billion Chinese - what are we Germans for a cute, small people. By the way, here you can see how Ms. Liu looks – and as a professional, I can highly recommend Ms. Liu here, particularly on the spot, in the region of Hohenlohe, the area with most of the world's market leaders. Especially when it comes to a first venture on the gigantic market in the Far East because Ms. Liu also has an excellent price-performance ratio. And she is amiable and reliable, and on time she is too! The English version of the mini-biography, the show about Eisenach and the Bachhaus has also been narrated.

Yesterday on Saturday, I decided to throw the camera into the car, and turn off in the direction of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. And because only one goal is never enough for me, I have photographed the castle Weikersheim. To drive quickly to Dinkelsbühl. All these photos will later be incorporated into the music videos and will be one of the 50 themes each. Here are already more music videos than just one set. In a first "tranche," Renate is at the preliminary starting 300 (!) Videos. Somehow this does not happen by itself. There are other plans, but I will not tell you yet. Otherwise, you only think I have an "on the waffle" - or you can not post something like that. I can also assure you at this point: to look for spelling mistakes is the least fun. Oh, the FAQ is getting more and more complete and for about two hours a first scaffolding of the English, or then international, site "Bach on Bach" is online. Today, however, it is really more than embryonic. And rightly, why does he set up another construction site if he does not manage the first one at all? That's me!

Tomorrow at the Pfingstmontag I treat myself a lot of Bach and a little I have to make up for business, but that will ... I think.

In this sense, we are looking forward to a few spring days, sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

5/5/2013 – The Bach Miniature Biography is Almost Ready Meanhwile

Why is it that everything is always longer than planned? Good, not as much longer as the new Berlin airport and yet! Perhaps because one – if it is going well – still makes more, which can then only be created under optimal conditions also. But again, a great journey has been reached, and the first pieces of music that you can then combine with the primary themes are about to be completed. An innovative homepage also adds to the technical challenge and the more zooms, pans and gimmicks, a small presentation, and the higher the requirements are, the more obstacles there are on the way to perfection. Yes, I know - I take this word bravely in spite of all the spelling mistakes on this page. Today the Bach minibiography, which is currently also in English and at the same time in an entirely exotic foreign language, finished. In which foreign language, of course, is not betrayed. And maybe if you like the mini-show for Bach's life, it takes a compact 8 minutes and is accompanied exclusively by Johann Sebastian Bach's music, then simply liken the result here. So we would somehow have an impression how many people here from one week to the next so. So we are about an hour before the next asparagus feeding and yet: just as they consume entirely new relatives in the USA, we cannot entirely imagine them: asparagus from the grill. In any case, we are invited to do so in Texas. Four of our new relatives come to Germany at the end of May. And the trip plans have changed all of a sudden – and we show them Bach Country in Thuringia. So that in a week and now fast to the video: > is the start, II is a break and if you mouse over the picture, then the emblem is next to the v of Vimeo to enlarge, and there is also smaller again.

Have fun and sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

4/29/2013 – Sooooo Many Construction Sites, spelling Mistakes, Poor Grammar

Today, we can only say: the profession is the whole time of leisure. And sleep is too much importance anyway. We have missed our goal today: we wanted to send the mini-biography about the Thomaskantor online today. With our Bach music and spoken by a professional. But the target will be missed, as new sides are continually coming to my mind and new perspectives are emerging. If you also still have the technical possibilities, to put everything into action, even to publish – well then the latest idea is always also the most exciting. So today you can share a whole new concept with me: in the field of JSB, I would like to portray as many as possible Bach choirs, Bach orchestras, and Bach clubs. And all over the world. Here you go.

Then much has developed further in the corner of the biography. Six different bios are now available. The shortest around 4 minutes, the longest over an hour. Reading time. If you read average fast. The Nekrolog is new, entirely new. It is the first biography of the world to Bach. He is hardly more to be found - but we now know where. You now also: precisely here ;>). The page for the setting of the small video biography is already finished - and ... I have come to the first correction work. But please do not ask where. Still, there are millions of spelling errors – but: That will ...!

My Bach music is getting more and more finished, and it does not take much longer, and we will set the first interactive features. And so we spend our days: sometimes with photographs, sometimes with writing, sometimes with texts, sometimes with sound mixing, music selection, in the recording studio – and now and then, at the weekend with "Neues this week" We reason!

Let us wish for spring together! We are invited tonight. To grill. Seriously. But still the Moonboots are not in the closet, and there is nothing that can not be experienced with thick gloves and a warm scarf.

In this sense have a lovely Sunday evening

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

5/1/2013 – Hello Bach Lovers in the World, Plus a Very Special Hello to Bach Lovers in the United States

I can't believe, it's true: this is the very first post and friends, family, and neighbors who might find this post without any notice, please send me a mail or Facebook to Renate.

Some eight months after the German version of "Bach On Bach" started, which by the way is "Bach über Bach" and means the same thing (....yes this is a fun project, and I am the funny maker, which is not a comedian. Funny maker is my translation for a word common in Germany in the century around 1700. So actually all nowadays words are permitted. As all proposals are denied, I had to create my own word, like you Americans, do all day long - there is no such thing as "to helicopter someone to the hospital." We say... to fly somebody by helicopter to....). Please excuse my grammar problems, do as our friends do: they listen, what we say, they smile (...shy first, then braver) and like this - we have a blast together. The peak really was - after ordering salmon for almost 19 years, to get introduced to the fact you don't pronounce the " l " in " Salmon ". And we will have fun with this for a long, long time coming.

OK, the grid, the skeleton or the navigation on "Bach On Bach" is now ready to be filled in. Which after all is a construction of more than 500 English pages (... plus more than 500 German ones already). I will probably need two times longer than to create the German equivalent. Although it's "just" a translation, the challenge is: the German pages all exist with thousands of spelling mistakes, as I decided on speeding up to create content and not wasting time on a correction. I don't want to start the English site this way. So, if you find some mistakeskeep them by the way, pleasethey are because of my poor English. My philosophy has changed. To be open-minded: in an early stage of this project it was necessary to write and write and write and not care about German spelling, which by law they changed two times in the last years, which means on the other hand, there are currently three versions on the market, and it's on you (...even some newspapers decide differently) which version you prefer. Sort of. LOL.

Next week is Bach Country Week. We meet one of my new cousins for the first time. Even my beloved cousins Nancy, Debbie, and Susan never heard of him so far. And believe it or not, I talked the cantor of St. Thomas Church at the Bach City of Leipzig into asking one of his students, a lady from Korea, to perform some Bach works for the four Bachs and family visiting. Plus we'll meet the director of the Bach House at Eisenach, the town of birth of Johann Sebastian, and we will have a great half week for all of us to remember for a lifetime.

That's it for today. Folks not speaking English as their mother language are invited to visit to inspect the first tender steps into the languages of the world (INTL). If you are brave enough, try to visit the German "warrant," which is "Steckbrief," scroll to "Video Zwei" (Video 2) and listen to the best known 33 pieces of Bach Music all over the world. For such, I chose Bach's multilingual versions of his pieces.

Kind regards

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

4/14/2013 – Much Happens in the Shadows ... that Is True on Every Day

At least one prediction came today. It is summer. Maybe just a day long - but: it's summer today. But you also noticed that without this column.

What's New? On the "Bach über Bach" side? Today? What came in this week? In short: nothing. Why? Because for many sub-areas, even more, has happened in the background. For further small shows, the lyrics, the music becomes more and more complete, the book corner also and what a dimension of work and effort the family tree is, we guessed - now we know it too. Exciting is the graphical creation. To make the boxes electronically is one thing – to arrange them so that they are also clear - so far as this is possible at all – a whole other. 760 Bach's musician family are, so to speak, cataloged to date, meaning there is a box in which the name, birth and death date, whether married – and if so why. More waiting in front of the electronic door. The whole thing is then probably already a dozen times in the position shifted. Fun? Great, but also lots of diligence.

A positive feedback from one of my favorite business partners was in Würzburg this week, and genealogically we are an exciting story on the trail plus a sensational. If we are successful in research. However, you will only learn about this at the end of the year. As long as we need to search for the whole of Germany, the next church archives are already waiting for our visit.

In this sense, we are looking forward to the weather, greetings from Heilbronn for the distant fans, from Flein for the very close

Yours Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

4/6/2013 – "Constructing a Family Tree" is Really Much More Fun

That was not easy for me today. Because a new fun is a big part of the project. The long-planned construction of the trunk tree takes up speed and grows and grows. The order number 400 has been issued, and it turns out that drawing software is the only option to get the work later also clearly. What is meant by "comprehensible" – it is at least the most transparent representation, which can be found in the Bach genealogy – and one can imagine. A constant shifting of the stream and the allocation of the generations is no different than on the screen.

And so it costs some overcoming to devote themselves to what makes the homepage again a bit more complete. Tadaa: the St. John Passion and the St. Matthew Passion page are online in a first uncorrected version. Of course, the technology not yet everything, but so we know where it is long – and later I take care of the many mistakes. Promised. But now it is 7:00 pm and the trail leads me back to the Mammutwerk Family Tree – which, of course, you have already thought you will not be in the shape of a tree.

Do we want to continue to hope for spring together? I guess it's going to be a summer break. Hopefully soon!

In this sense sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

4/1/2013 – Easter

A very long Bach weekend is nearly over, and there is only half a daytime to optimize here and there and complete a part of the final track. Endspurt to conclude the essential elements of this homepage. The Good Friday - now again "a long time ago" - also stood in the unique sign of Johann Sebastian – for us there was a wonderful, breathtaking St. Matthew Passion of the Bach Choir and Bach orchestra in Fürstenfeldbruck in Bavaria Conductors (!). The work with over three hours of time in an excellent performance will be remembered for a long time – on the way back then the plant introduction via CD to the Bavarian Radio –you can listen very soon to our music corner.

And still? In the field of genealogy, we have a search into the house, which, if successful, will even stop Bach's professional world through the circle of the Bach genealogists. But ... so far we are not far, nor very, very long not. Travel is necessary, in the entire federal territory. We would like to put all those who read here a little bit on torture.

A lot has happened on our pages of the Bach Top 33, even today, our ancestor researcher Mr. Hoske will change something, and I make first successful walking attempts with a new sign software for me so that the genealogy of the Bach is not only complete and correct, but also sufficiently clear. The premise is in this my family tree that I can move all "participants" individually and in whole families up and down, to the right as well as to the left.

Today, we have also reached another record, which we would like to welcome you with: for the first time, 75 visitors were on our website – in one day! Measured by the usual numbers we know about the Internet, ridiculous. For us: grandiose and a reason to celebrate.

Now on April 1st. Please do not look up there in the text - there is no joke included. If the world is joking, then I have a funny: "Sendepause"!

In this sense, it will soon be warmer.

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

3/23/2013 – What a Week

The week was clearly a Bach week. Not only did Johann Sebastian Bach's birthday. Now he's back in a week, but on March 31, but this is just something for the advanced Bach fans. No, there was much else in Bach. This week was probably the week with the most violent development in all areas, especially the field of Johann Sebastian Bach biography, more precisely the Johann Sebastian Bach short biography. Then in Bach music, after I finally found the perfect software for my Bach music. Finally also in a technical challenge – also with the Johann Sebastian Bach biographies. Speaking of Bach's short biography. Five different length is now available soon on this website, the longest with 60 minutes of reading is almost finished. The one for a reading time of around 30 minutes is also almost ready and ready to set. Right are the two short and they are even illustrated with pictures. Let's see how far the weekend, the still fresh, catapults us forward. The fifth short biography will be a picture, film, spoken text and music. A show. A real little show to Bach, about six minutes long. For the very impatient, who need it on the point, there is also a brook description.

The technology. It is supposed to be a crossmedial website - and this is now and then ambitious, and completely in the sense of Johann Sebastian Bach, it must then also become something exciting and special, which is otherwise not so. And that's what it has become. You can read the Bach biography of music. You know that? And find it corrosive? Right, you are right - it is with everyone else. It is usually annoying stuff, which is particularly annoying when unasked music sounds when opening these special homepages. This is different with "Bach über Bach": first of all, it is the music of the Thomaskantor, the most popular and most famous of his 1,200 works. Of about 12,000, as the Bach science suspects. Then it's not a piece, but it's about an hour's miscellaneous. This will turn on or off and let this music run quietly while reading. But this site offers more: video clips and audiofiles. For all Bach fans, who do not get along without Internet (... hello dear Carola) here the small explanation: Video clips are short movies with music, spoken sound, film and picture sequences. Audiofiles are primarily music, but they can also be enriched with images. Now, the two longer ones of the short Bach biographies have the option to add music. If, however, the video shows exactly the Bachstadt of the text, or if a piece of music is composed precisely during the time you are just reading - then the background music disturbs, of course, because there would be two audio sources Simultaneously. Now you can switch the background music off briefly – then turn on again later. The ... in our opinion is not yet on the Internet. It's something new. In the sense of Johann Sebastian. By the way, we have come up with many new ideas. One of them is to record the Thomanerchor Leipzig at a concert in the Thomaskirche and present here as a small film (5 minutes). We are working to get a positive response to a request and inquiry. But for sure – I have to worry about the many spelling mistakes. This will come in April. At last ... you will think.

In this sense hopefully the winter with its snow, but also the freezing temperatures hopefully soon pass. For the next photo and film shots, I absolutely need beautiful weather and fresh light green trees. Please keep your fingers crossed.

3/18/2013 – Искрено извинение

A hearty excuse is in German and is – Bulgarian. One of the few very sincere welcome visitors pointed out to me that in the INTL area, in the international part of the website the Bulgarian side is underlined with Arabic text - this is what I care about now. Love thanks for the hint! Otherwise, the weekend was "bachgefüllt" - from morning to night. A total of six short biographies have emerged, but they are still in a first run, and still, some specific information is missing. The style of the text has to be filed - and spelling mistakes, there are still hundreds. So many - that I do not even dare to set them even temporarily. This is different with the appropriate guide page; there are new text and four exciting documents, two of them for the first time. The music of Bach was also the turn. Here some things happened on the homepage, but most of them ran in the background. It is not easy to determine the most popular and best-known pieces of the master. If you do not want a Bach fan against them whose favorite JSB piece is not with these 33 later. In the section "+ 4 via YouTube," you can already quite well experience what the second section of the chapter Music looks like.

In this sense, I'll start with the correction in the Bulgarian and then go on with something important.

Until next weekend.

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

3/10/2013 – Bach Biography, Bach Music and Many, Really Many Bach Videos

A little you have to understand them, our American friends. This is where a radio station specializes in classical music. Dude is called Kerl and means here as much as "Hey!". "Back off" means staying behind, keeping distance. Then Bach and Back somehow resemble the same and also looks similar - and so quickly becomes the gimmick quite quickly the gimmicky "Hey, keep your distance!" of it. That is what we love about America. Thank you, Terri. Great job.

A busy weekend is behind us. Only Bach, nothing else. Two short biographies are mostly finished. The refinement is still missing, and thousands of spelling mistakes want to be corrected right away before these "works" find their way to the website. Of course, each Bach short biography will also be illustrated, and so you have to worry about how to go about it. The plan: three Bach biographies - three types of illustrations. Three? Oh, yes, there is still another third-namely, the very, very short one. It will perhaps still arise tonight. The illustrations, planning today? The very short we enrich with historical black and white shots of the Bachhaus in Eisenach. The middle gets old paintings of all the Bach towns and places missed, and the third, the most extensive Bach short biography, is enriched by Bach videos and Bach audio videos. In the middle of the year, all 9 Bach towns and Bach towns will be presented in a small show. Also, there are small music samples, each of which has a series of pictures. That is the plan. And today the last two texts for two of the mini-shows about Dornheim and Lüneburg have arisen. Right, again with many, many errors, so still in the raw version. For this, I am the first time to choose the perfect Bach music for this homepage. From 1,200 pieces. 1,200 are still preserved from about 12,000. Since I have to go through now. A greeting at this point to our most loyal fan, Carola.

In this sense, it is a pity that we can not do "Bach" the whole day, even tomorrow and during the week. In this sense, we are now waiting for the late winter break until next week.

Sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

3/2/2013 – The "Sorry Chapter" Plus My Cordial Request for a Hyper Link

It is time to order, to improve, to optimize. And this is also bitterly necessary – because it can not work with too many errors and missing pages. It is not free, according to the motto of our godfather, to whom we have so much to thank, many years ago: whoever finds a fault – he can keep it. The Sorry-chapters: so we call from today the white pages, which are "enriched" this week with a small excuse for so long until finally time for the concrete content is there. So that not one or the other can pass by – and does not see anything at all. Except for a white, blank page. Over the past 11 weeks, we have been working on this homepage for six to eleven hours a day. In September they did not exist yet. Today it is between 300 and 400 pages! Now comes the time to optimize it. A great request: you like our page, the homepage, the style - we would like to cordially encourage you to promote us: this is perfect and optimal regarding our site. He is a thousand times "worth as much" as a recommendation. But that too is important for us. Please recommend us, two times brook and an "over" in between can be noted as address easily. Bach is not mainstream! I guess in the city center people addressed, only 1 out of 10,000 enthusiastically for Johann Sebastian. This is our challenge. Therefore – if we could inspire you – do us this favor. And with a wink: if you want to help us, do not just take it – send an e-mail to your webmaster and give your neighbor our address: www.bachueberbach.de (... and that in everyone Imaginable notation).

Thank you very much.

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

2/24/2013 – That's Possible Even Much Better: Thanky You Cathy

Cathy: Thank you so much for letting us know, you had a hard time getting to the English section. I focussed too much on the international visitors, so I did not pay enough attention to the English speaking folks. We changed the button from the letters INTL to the flags of the USA and Great Britain, and Norwegian, Indian and Japanese folks will recognize the globe as the path to their Bach fun. Thanks much. And we have removed a person's painting from the quotations. Thanks to an amiable mail and enthusiasm for our project. We had the wrong "in a mobile phone shipped" – it was not! Also, the form of an e-mail no longer exists. To enter the security code was actually corrosive. Overkill. Now it takes two seconds longer to write us - but how does that, everyone knows. And so it guarantees in the future no frustration. Also for this reference, thank you. This week a lot of unspectacular things happened – in the international area. So nothing that would be especially exciting to mention. And so will be this week. Many small corners and edges are there to optimize – and we want to go 'now. Nevertheless, Bach is always a pleasant surprise. We look forward to seeing you again. We stay tuned.

In this sense, we now all wait together for the spring approach announced at least in Southern Germany.

2/18/2013 – Two Whole New Chapters and Two Whole New Records, Too

The hymns of Reinhold Bach - the initiates know: who went with the Empress and was the head of the US Bach-band.

First to the important. All Bach fans of my homepage have complained. And are perfectly right. Where was the report last week? There was no one. All the fans were waiting - and in a nutshell: everyone complained. Carola complained. She is the only fan known to us, so the complaint is not only justified, but also significant. Will it be different in the future? Will there be regular posts now? Who knows this so exactly. Make up-that's what I want. Do I have excuses? Certainly. We had visitors. Visit high from North America. From the bitterly cold Minnesota. Enough with a case full of ancient pictures and even more stories. And with the hymnbook of Reinhold Bach. This must be considered as an excuse this once. Next week we need a better excuse. And a new one. An even more creative then.

The so-called "origin" and here the page 1: 53 members of the most significant musician family of the earth.

The records? Or first the chapters? The chapters. Entirely new are the work-intensive areas of the origin of the Bachbrief to the youth friend Georg Erdmann. Both sections are primarily in the entertainment style. With many, many pictures. And documents. Click on the link, and you are already there. The records? Well, about the first you've read above. 100% complaint of all fans. And the second? Never before, not in my life and not on this homepage – a sequence with so many mistakes of every kind has gone online. Spelling errors, formulation errors, content errors and missing information even. Why is it like that? Because some people, like me, are either in writing mood. Or in correction mood. And because each time to work against my nature, then later, thus "under the grain" does not give as much as to give one or the other whim. Also, the Internet is the ideal platform. Today everything is in a beta version online and tomorrow – or even only in a few weeks –  after the correction ... everything has happened as never before. Unusual? Actually unacceptable? Somehow different? Jup - that's me. So are we. And so "Bach above Bach" is just.

The only private letter from Johann Sebastian Bach. The letter to friend Georg Erdmann.

2/2/2013 – Too Early or Too Late

Clearly: too late. Because last weekend you were disappointed. A special apology to you, dear Carola, because you are probably the only one who regularly reads here so far. So, too late, way too late to look at the last weekend. A bit early on this. Today is Friday.

Bach stamps - the logo for this "corner" of the homepage.

What's new. Nothing so exciting! Or does it? The Bach stamps corner flourishes and flourishes on the website. She fills herself and fills herself. But technically it is still inadequate (... school grade F), because everything does not work yet, not even at the beginning – but that will. Even today something will change. But, to our apology, round 60 country info and round 150 brook stamps, brook blocks and brook stamp sets are simply a lot! About 60 cards, the logo for this section of the website and the text. Well, a week goes very quickly in the country.

Per country a map, always matching the Bachbriefmarke. Or do you need any help to know where Eynhollow is located?

Spectacular? Perhaps we have succeeded in discovering another branch of the Bach musician family here in the USA, which is already remarkably detailed apart from the mainstream in Bach genealogy. With a family tree and a publication "We came from Thuringia" – we came from Thuringia. Exciting. And we will try to verify whether this line is based on evidence, evidence, and, if so, how many and how significant, or based on allegations. More, if we know more. It would then be the second branch, which is not taken into account by Kraft, nor by Brück, Kock, or Frickel. Genealogically a sensation! But that is still much research. And much research means a lot of work. Especially when setting up, I see, I did my homework last week. Well the better, but change – I will now this article no more. You forgive me for sure.

In this sense, we wish you a pleasant, complete weekend, up to 8 days.

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

1/14/2013 – The First Fan ... hey Carola!

We are very happy. There is the first fan! A first real fan. Interested in our work. A first fan who writes to us that he has visited the homepage more than once. And send us a compliment. Thank you very much! And what is unique about it? That there are only two varieties of visitors at such an early stage of the project. The one, which in the context of a request from us once past. And the others, who were perhaps already a guest, but of course not let us know. Because we can not see or recognize our visitors. Not to be confused is, of course, a "fan" with already some visitors, which have been very positive. We were also very happy about this. But a fan – this is something quite different! And Carola tells us that – that's what inspires us! Thanks also for the dear compliment. The last days were violent! Much has changed, the homepage has changed in three areas. And Susan Bach-Weaver has helped us with her very committed correction of my English page perfectly. Susan Weaver belongs to the music family of the Bach and lives in America. Your help is on my paper pages (... of course, as pdfs) "deep red" if you know what I mean. They see me smiling. Tomorrow or over morning is the English side to the start, which will be the basis for many, many translations. By the way, Susan Bach Weaver himself writes books and publishes them in her publishing house www.rainbowreach.com.

A tremendous project were the quotations to and about Johann Sebastian Bach. We've been collecting them for many months. In the meantime, they are arranged, listed, checked and put together. And they are implemented for the corresponding page. For this purpose, we searched for the authors and found them on Wikipedia. The design should once be quite unusual and so we "put" all around 50 personalities in all kinds of electronic devices. Then there are ultra short mini-biographies for Bachbegeisterte, who want to know more about the personalities behind the quotations. And a link to more information, if interested in the saying and the short CV, who is who. A real 24/7 job. Then the FAQs are new – 100 questions about JSB, mainly for students, who are easy and uninhibited more often today a complete question with all the drumming on Google. But most of the answers to Bach we still owe – only the father of Johann Sebastian is representative.

This as a weekly interim report and therefore warm greetings. Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

1/10/2013 – We Were Looking For It ... We Finally Found It

In this past week, the page with the quotations, sayings, and wisdom around Johann Sebastian has changed sensationally. If you also clearly notice that there is still a lot of work to be done, you can already enjoy the many, many quotes already. When I found the first quotation to the master, I could not imagine that it would be a proud 66. In the Bach FAQ, the 100 is reached. And we have "found" a complete map with fantastic photos, of whose disappearance in the depths of the PC we did not even know. Can you imagine that you have a whole 170 pictures believed to have photographed, but is not sure? This is only possible if you lost the overview, where you were and what you actually shot: thousands of photos!

We stay tuned, almost around the clock, nice coming ( ! ) weekend.

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

1/6/2013 – Bach Music and Bach-FAQ

With the new year 2013, which has just begun, there are also two new headings, which are of course still very embryonic in this homepage. There are no missing parts, answers, and music at all. Because there is still some processing "behind the scenes." But – the concept becomes clear: Once, with the music offer, it is a unique way to present Bach's masterpieces so on the Internet that there is also something special to see. And YouTube videos have somehow brought me this idea for a long time. Also, the short video with the Panflötenspieler in the Paris Métro and the pictures from the cemetery Père Lachaise is a precursor: round 50 themes will be available, which can then be combined again with round 15 works by Johann Sebastian. So you can listen to his favorite work several times and at the same time enjoy different scenes. The whole rather quiet - less hectic - just so right to enjoy.

The second very freshly designed area is around the Bach FAQs, the Frequently Asked Questions. Very much on the subject of Bach and also the musician family is divided into the typical questions and allows especially pupils, kids and also everyone who is new to Bach fussles, comprehensive, direct and above all correct answers to exactly the questions, which also Two years ago. By the way, the work on the English side continues, which Susan Bach-Weaver is currently investigating on my very rough translation errors. Round 90 pictures and illustrations will be added to the English and gradually every further language version if everything fits here. It is not so easy to choose the pieces of music that should illuminate the work of Bach. Because, especially in this decision, my not very serious motto is: "If I manage to prevent even one from turning away from the work of Bach, I have already achieved great results with my project!"

1/1/2013A Bach Hotel, a Cool Bach Crowdfunding and A Bach Portrait

B-A-C-H, a series of letters, in which each Bach fan sooner or later passes. It is the time between Christmas and the year change, a few days ago was weekend, and again I am too late to my "task." Because the weekend is the keyword. At the weekend you expect something new from me. Not at all. I'm sorry. There are new developments in several corners of our giant construction site. Bach is one of the very few names that one can sing and play on an instrument. However, only where German is spoken. What does it matter and what does this B-A-C-H mean? Just click here. And now there are over 33 more powerful pictures of Leipzig. Best weather, good mood and you can see what has come out in Bachstadt. Just click on the link and then go back to the Sitemap. The stamps have also grown, and we have restructured them a bit.

And then, the vast area of international sites has begun. Together, there are 34 versions, in which we want to inform Bach in various languages. Of course, this can not be done without help. And we find it – so we hope, on the Internet. Just look at these pages, of course just for fun.

Happy New Year 2013

12/16/2012

Have you been here last weekend? And were disappointed? Because there was no reference to new areas? I can understand this – I too would have been disappointed. And now you expect at least one creative answer? With pleasure. We were busy. Both. With Bach. Fine excuse? No seriously. We have worked on the foreign versions, which are now just before their release. More specifically, an English and an international platform. In their first version. While the English side will mainly correspond to the German, the international pages, as I imagine them today, are much more compressed. The challenge for us now is how do we get to these translations? And how do we shape the entire performance so that even an Indian, a Philippine or an Argentinian will have fun with Bach? You do not expect an answer here and now? Certainly not! You can see what has happened when you click on the small, new world ball emblem - the one above the Bach monument in the Ulm Cathedral. Or click on the penultimate page on the red bar.

For today dear pre-Christmas greetings

12/2/2017

Sunday. The first advent. The first snow. The first snow-flapping. Who needs such a thing? Well, it looks beautiful. And on the weekend you can enjoy it penultimate but the Monday in view, the professional traffic, icy roads, no positive weather report. Well, there we go through. Regarding Bach. Not much happened this week here and on this homepage. More in the background, much more! It is only the one or the other. But, a highlight is in our hands: Bach as a fullplastic tin figure. Correctly heavy and fantastically engraved. Now he is ours! It is not easy to find it. Now, let us consider whether we want to have it painted by an artist - really with lights and shadows. In both versions, the figure has its charm. And what could be more obvious than to read Bach from tin immediately? To illuminate, rotate, change the angle to the camera. Play with the light. Here I show you my best experimental photos. And Obendrein has a little history for the first Advent: A musician comes to heaven. And is glad to receive a reply to the question whether God is listening to Mozart, or rather Bach. Before the throne of the Lord, he heard Mozart in the background: the village musician sextet "A musical fun." "Come closer, my son," says the Heavenly Father. "A question I read from your eyes. Say it out! "Then the musician:" We always think on the earth, you hear Bach. But now you hear Mozart. Why?". The Creator of all visible and invisible looks at him kindly and then says very slowly: "I am brook!" In this sense, I have already found the next treats for you penultimate, but they will still be prepared.

Come well through the first real winter week

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

Bach from tin, the first impression ...

Johann Sebastian Bach from tin, a second perspective ...

Now, here is JSB again, for the third time, again a different angle. Rarely rare: as a full-plastic pewter figure. 88 millimeters high. Masterly engraved. Today, here and from me: very, very unconventionally photographed and varied with light.

11/25/2012 – Book Recommendations

"To be diligent, he must ..." he said, the master, and that's what we were this week. Much has been done. For you invisible behind the scenes. But now also here on the homepage. In short, what is new. Tadaaaaa, the category "books, books, books" is online and therefore, of course, my first recommendation of the first significant book about Bach. More will follow, but it is time-consuming, this page, but want to read these books. Fun back and forth – it just takes time. But we have that together. And because there is so much behind the mentioned scenes, I want to say goodbye to this week, and to look with you in the direction of the pre-Christmas season. Let's see if there is a little time for reflection in the day's hustle and bustle.

In this sense, you all the best.

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

I will present you this book in spring 2013.

11/18/2012

It's Sunday. We are back. From a day trip to Bach Country. To visit Bach author Helga Brück and Christa Bach, who also belongs to the Binderslebeners. And Gehren is on the nice-to-have-plan. Far into Thuringia: dense fog. After the Rennsteigtunnel: suddenly blue sky and sun. Five minutes before departure to Gehren the perfect weather. The fingers freeze a little while photographing, but that's worth it. The results can be seen in the Bach Picture Archives.

The Michael Bach Memorial in Gehren. Michael Bach was the father of Barbara Bach, the first wife of Johann Sebastian Bach. And he was a cantor in Gehren.

At Christa Bach in Erfurt-Bindersleben, we get more pictures about Lothar Bach from Bindersleben. Lothar Bach, you will meet in 2013. And we complete with additional photos, documents, and answers, missing areas in our Bach genealogy puzzle. The next stop is at Helga Brueck in Erfurt. And a genealogy super-work that is so much needed is in our hands. In 2013, we will also help you.

Bach author Helga Brueck. She is the top specialist in Bach genealogy and author of several books, some of them about the musician family.

What's new this week? Yes, right: THE COMPOSER, his own homepage about composers, so Bach's colleagues, has already become something more complete and beautiful. Look over there again. There is always something new about each of the stars. On Bach over Bach, there is a new section entitled Famous Composers. Here you will find a short overview of the smirking of many famous composers. And then we go on to the best sites around the composer of the past. Finally? Can I present you a new treasure? First of all, because the composition between the pictures and the authentic script is simply exciting. More, however, with an intensified view: because we both have fun especially with the lovely mistakes. And if we're not mistaken, May 21 is named as Bach's birthday. But this is my birthday! Johann Sebastian saw the light of the world on 21 March 1685 and on 31 March 1685.

A highlight travelled from the USA, run 1899.

21st of May: Nice trial.

The first according to the Julian calendar. Or according to the Gregorian calendar on March 31st. All right?

11/10/2012

... and it goes unstoppably towards the first Advent. The sections on my homepage for you are developing magnificently. More in width than in new chapters. The news of the month I get yesterday from the USA. Nancy did it. She wants to perform with her students in the White House during the pre-Christmas period, and instead of the usual application, she sends a cool video to the White House. What are the chances that the project will work? One to one million? But, Nancy manages it – she gets the invitation. Nancy is the granddaughter of August Reinhold Bach, who emigrated from Andisleben in Thuringia to the USA. You can see August Reinhold Bach on the penultimate picture on the homepage of Bach On Bach, so at the bottom. He is in the middle of his family, the Bach Band.

Another highlight this week is my sister homepage The composer at the web address www.dertonsetzer.wordpress.com. I would have liked the point-appropriate name was also as an address, but he was forgiven. On this homepage, which will also be published in English in some time, you can get news and news about many composers, and if you are interested in Mozart, Beethoven or Wagner and Co., you are also welcome. On this homepage is not the portrait in the foreground, but events, new foundations of orchestras, choirs, clubs or even tour announcements, promotions, competitions. Just take a look. At the same time, the section "Famous Composers" is being created here on this site, which leads to the most exciting Internet appearance for each of the composers. Together with a great offer for those who like the "competition" more. Or for those who like Bach as well as other composers like. At the moment there is only a part of the scaffolding from this homepage but just have a look. It may be quite exciting to see how this chapter eventually grows.

For today on a dull, disgusting late fall November-Saturday.

Sincerely

Renate + Peter Bach, Jr.

And again, an old document has arrived that inspires me. The quality of the print is extraordinary; the back is printed with lettering. It encourages. And if you hold the paper in your hand and know that it is a publication of 1885, then slight goose bumps occur. You can understand this with a wink. Actually, here is a smiley face. Electronically, we have the master "released," and from today he may be here, on this side. Later on, as we do with Bach monuments.

Tin figures, a hobby within my family. Of course, we are looking for tin figures around Bach. And they exist, on their own. But maybe I let my own engrave, pour and then paint, on the other hand. According to this submission. We want to see how this could work. I'll keep you informed, anyway. Promised.

Johann Sebastian Bach in Eisenach.

Bach Quotes, Bach Quotes

What's new since last week. A new section has the site: Bach Quotes. Quotes of essential people on Bach's performance. And to his person. It starts, as actually everything here, very sparingly. Only two quotes, perhaps even the most famous, open this collection. The later also to be amiable histories as well as to some additions of the master himself.

Another important section started last week: the second major topic of this website, ancestral research. I would like to introduce you to Mr. Hoske, whom you would like to meet personally in the coming years. Mr. Hoske is an ancestor. And what a!

An Article Directory

Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, Brahms - here in the near future there will be news for many composers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. From many authors from the whole German-speaking countries and abroad.

An article directory is created during these hours. It combines the interest in Bach with interest in other great composers in the German-speaking world. But this sister project is still growing into his children's shoes. Actually, I should not be able to tell you about it yet, but it is still not clear at all what is going to happen. And ... we are working on new pages and have a lot of fun.

Extra for me. I had wanted a painted picture of my sister. A picture about Bach. Long before today, very long. And because I really did not really know exactly what I wanted, it was all about Johann Sebastian Bach or the Bach musician family; I gave her different Bach pictures as a kind of briefing. She did not paint for me, but several great works of art for my Johann Sebastian Bach project. There are three of them now, and today, all of them will be available in the coming weeks as broadside illustrations and in the broadside archives.

Finally, at least three of my sister's pictures have a place of honor.

10/29/2012

This can not wait until next weekend: a Chinese Bahncard with the portrait of Johann Sebastian Bach.

10/28/2012

And again we can buy a dreamlike ancient document full of music notes. Highlight this week is the discovery of a so far wholly unknown Bach-stamp. Maybe it's a Cinderella. Perhaps even more likely: it is a CCCP, so a Soviet. From 1970. This stamp is so far in no listing of Bach stamps ever listed. And she was entirely unknown to us.

The first Bach monument in the world can be photographed on a business trip - so to speak. The photograph I had in Leipzig for a whole day long: but there is me, and its presence is not, not yet known. And nice I did not find it, which indeed was because of the fact that a picture on the Internet shows the back. This is different now, and although the sun does not shine, the images are still melancholic and excitingly illuminated in the autumn. You can find these photos in the new section Bach Monuments in the photo database.

Stamp or Cinderella? This is not the question, but me. Exciting is their existence.

The section Andisleben – The Secret Secret is new. And now I'd like to tell you what it's all about – it would not be a secret anymore! And there are again, almost self-evident new stamps and also more photos: the first of Wechmar may seem pure. The Veit-Bach Mill. Veit Bach, the first Bach musician, who is mentioned in the document. Wechmar, the place where everything starts. Where I stayed in August 2012, on a photo trip in the Gotha and Erfurt Bach towns. And spend an exciting evening at the bar of the Gasthof Löwen with the owner, Mr. Löffler. With talks about the Starkomponisten, the Bach musician family and the events around this topic.

Only a stone's throw away from the Bachhaus in Wechmar. Hotel and restaurant Zum Löwen. There you dine and spend the night in a very bachish.

Post no. 2. So this is how to write a blog. So – I mean his predecessor. A weird feeling. Have a lot of fun on Bach above Bach.

We are already in the next chapter. And a lovely first winter week, so to speak.

This week everything is new here. For real. Everything! Sunday this homepage was still offline. Moreover, they did not exist. The many, many shares already. But collecting and arranging and then also preparing are three different pairs of boots. If you are here today, you are there as soon as possible. So you have missed nothing. They are there from the start. Have a look at the stamps. In this quality, they are not found anywhere else in the net. And via Flickr, you can enlarge and download them. In an incredible resolution. This is how you have never seen stamps. Promised. The first is our favorite brand on the no. 1 Place of honor: the Republic of the Ivory Coast.

Today we do what we never do: we go online in the beta version. Due to our age, there are still a lot of spelling mistakes, links that are not yet linked, provisional pictures. That will be different. We apologize for any inconvenience – however, we will definitely start at 12:00 o' clock with the publication, with the fun, with the adventure!

Bach – Rhapsody in Blue

The blue portrait of Bach is painted according to my wishes. From an artist in the Bach family, from Briana Bach-Hertzog. She lives near Washington, and when I saw her pictures, I asked her. To a Bach Portrait. A "Bach Rhapsody in Blue." What Briana can do, except Bach, can be seen here. So here it is ... post no. 1.

Plus: TTYL ... this coming weekend
