This makes it more difficult to “unearth treasures” that are almost undamaged: We only buy copies in the best condition with only minor damage to the corners or edges of the slipcase..

But meanwhile, we have become “masters of restoration”. Using the right cleaning paste, we manage to restore it almost to its original condition. Only the Bach seal and the year 1685 cannot be completely restored to their original condition. They remain black, but this makes the seal more visible. And that could have been designed that way from the beginning (... but it wasn't)..

Finally, regarding scratches on the lid. We only accept Bach beer steins if the lid is free of scratches. To verify this, you need to be able to see in photos that there are no scratches.
