Bach Videos ... Who Invented Them?..

We thought we had invented them. Bach Videos. And what did we realize? They already existed. Well, from now on and only with us: There are five more categories of Bach videos. They are fundamentally different, these little films in the five categories..

We are particularly proud of our cute little “electronic business cards”, as we call the ultra-short shows about the Bach cities and Bach locations ourselves. I've been on the road a lot. I've watched the weather forecast for many weeks over three years and have set off for the “Land of the Bache” more than once in the middle of the night. And then, in the best weather between spring and fall, to take photos and record video sequences for these little “mini videos”..

Important: They are short, these portraits of Bach cities and Bach places. Three minutes, four minutes, five minutes. There simply has to be that much time..

Three professionals narrate the texts in our Bach videos about these Bach locations in Thuringia, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Bohemia and Austria. The music is by Bach ... but of course, also by modern composers. Exclusively classical ... who likes that? All the small, short productions are enriched by all kinds of age-old, more reverently: historical documents ... and a little bit of media technology bells and whistles..

I didn't want to make any compromises with these videos: To make the ultra-short portraits of the many Bach cities and Bach locations really beautiful, I made up to three trips to the respective locations. That's a three to four hour drive from Heilbronn. And it took just as long to get back: Sometimes the weather took an unexpected turn for the worse. Or the famous “Frauentor” in Mühlhausen and other motifs were unexpectedly backlit from 10:00 in the morning. For example, the Bach House in Eisenach. And you can only photograph it until 9:00 a.m. for a few weeks at the height of summer. In addition, at the time of my first trip, I didn't even know about one or another highlight in a Bach city or Bach location..

There are exactly 33 Bach music videos ... without a single spoken word. Using a rather complicated process, I have found the 33 best-known and most popular works by Johann Sebastian Bach for you based on the number of hits on Google and YouTube. I would never have suggested the 33 “most beautiful” pieces. After all, who wants to decide which ones they are? I will give you an excerpt of a maximum of three and a half minutes of these works “on your ears”. If the piece of music is a little shorter, it's not my fault. So that your eyes don't get bored with these 33 music themes, this combination fun is only available from me. And you won't find anything like it anywhere else. At least I think so.
