These are more family members in a musician's family than dozens of musician's families are even big: a very tiny part of the Bachs, here the ones in Rochester, Illinois, USA.
That's how to remember it: Memorize pictures. We read from left to right: So the father is on the left, the son, born later, is on the right, and he looks cooler. The father on the left is more conservative. First the Viennese waltz was invented by the father (left), then the son (right) composed himself to be the "waltz king": the two Johann Strauss gentlemen associated with Vienna in Austria.
